What was the name of the one with 'Pussy Galore' and the aerobatic plane women? Think I was 8 when it was on tv, turned red every time her name was spoken! Glad I got over that. View Quote Goldfingaarrrrr |

Dr. No, Thunderball or Goldfinger.
But, if you can, read the original Ian Fleming books. MUCH, MUCH better than the movies! |

Darby O'Gill' was 1959, sorry back to topic.
Guess I would watch in order of release and see how his character evolves, hard to choose a favorite. Never saw any made after Sean C. retired. |
|
This- get the boxed set or Netflix/amazon prime and watch them in order. There are references to earlier movies in later ones.

You've been under a rock since 1963? I suggest you start at the beginning and watch them in order - Dr. No, From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, etc. View Quote |

Skyfall is top shelf. Craig plays the character like the books wrote him to be. The early Connery films where good but as the years went by the cheese go out of hand. That is why they started over with Craig.
Casino Royale with Craig it great too. Of the old ones, Dr. No, Thunderball and The Man with the Golden Gun are my favorites. I could not stand, Never Say Never Again, it was a Hollywood mix up because of casting contracts and such and was pretty hokey when they turned Bond into a 6 foot tall Japanese man. It was silly. |

Casino Royale then Goldfinger. Connery and Craig are the only Bonds that really matter, although the rest can be quite fun as well.

David Niven with the Sten gun was the exact image that Powers was modeled on. |

My favorites are:
Connery: From Russia with Love - Probably because of Daniela Bianchi Lazenby: On Her Majesty's Secret Service (by default) Moore: Live and Let Die Dalton: The Living Daylights Brosnan: GoldenEye Craig: Casino Royale/Skyfall (can't decide) Connery and Craig are my favorite Bonds. |

I would start from the beginning in your case to see how things have changed in them over the years. They ramp up the cheese to critical mass over a period of time, then a good serious one comes out and the cycle starts all over again. Skyfall is my favorite by quite a bit. View Quote This. |
