Shepard Book says " I don't care what you believe in, just believe in it." Just before he dies, he mumbles something else. What was it?

My hearing sucks so I'm probably wrong, but to me it always sounded like "And never give up."

Can you narrow it down to an episode or movie?

BTW: The Firefly Online game just added the Cortex companion application on Steam. No, not THAT kind of "Companion", unfortunately. Still waiting on the game itself. (www.keepflying.com) |

He admitted to Mal that he was the alliance general, Richard Wilkens, who led the attack at Serenity Valley. My thoughts have always been along those lines. That was the back story that should have been. It has nothing on the secret backstory of Simon Tam... Simon Tam, the soft, reserved, novice criminal, right? Yet, oddly, when the chips are down, he always pulls through, doesn't he? More than once, he unexpectedly shows iron, from a character everyone assumes is made from jelly... The hints in his emotions and reactions can be seen throughout the series. He even reacts with guilt to a closely related accusation in one scene... We know his highest priority is keeping his innocent little sister safe. We know his parents cut him off from the family fortune after he tried too hard to find out what happened to his sister. We see, in the last flashback to his past, that his parents have given up on River, and think he should do the same. And that Simon takes this as the ultimate betrayal. So how is it that Simon tracked down and managed to free River using "money, mostly"? He had been cut off from the family fortune... Why do we never hear another word about the Tam parents? Why doesn't River ask about them? Why aren't they used as leverage by the Alliance, to get Simon to turn himself in? We know Simon is one of the most gifted doctors alive... He murdered his parents. Poisoned them in a way that wouldn't make him an immediate suspect. By doing so, he inherited the family fortune and thus was able to free River. But the guilt of his actions haunts him throughout the series. We see this very plot foreshadowed in the scene where River is introduced. Other clues are scattered throughout the series. River knows. She doesn't ask about her parents because she knows the answer. |

So even my mom (good old mom) is now hooked on Firefly. This little old granny came up and visited a few weeks ago. We watched Much Ado about Nothing (wife loves that movie) that night via NetFlix. When it was done, mom thought it was a really great movie (also has a great musical score). I told her it was by Josh Whedon. She asked what else he did? So... I showed her! 6 episodes into Firefly over 2 days, and she had to go back home.
She's loves the Firefly show and doesn't understand how she never heard of it... [sigh]. She can't wait to finish watching the series on her next visit. Jayne Cobb is her favorite - that shit cracked me up. So now mom can't wait to finish out the series. Heh, kind of cool. |

View Quote Several planets each with several moons, all capable of being terraformed. Which brings up another question: A "moon" is assumed to be much smaller than its parent planet. So they must be smaller than Earth. How do they get "earth-normal" gravity on such a moon? They'd have to do this first, before terraformation begins. |
