from .22 magnum to .17hmr?

from what i have seen, it would only take a barrel change and you would be good to go.

That's like catching a unicorn fart in a mason jar and trying to make it smell better.

But to answer your question, I don't see why it couldn't be done with a barrel blank, a mill, a lathe and a reamer.
May be able to sleeve the original barrel but it might end up a little thin.

A acquaintance that I see at my LGS did one and he claims it runs fine. If memory serves he had the KT barrel sleeved.

I assume it's blowback? Didn't a few of the .17HMR rifles get pulled because of case separations?

That's what I was thinking. Didn't Ruger and Remington both have semi-auto hmr's that had some serious issues?

.17 HMR is generally regarded as not reliable/unsafe for semi-auto use. I seem to remember something about differences in load specs between manufacturers, but it could have also been because of the overall design of the cartridge.

if i remember correctly, it was an iddue with the firearm design and not the cartridge, but whatever.
