Cant find the Poll button.

I was adamant about NO.

MY OPINION:

I will not make my son suffer for no reason.
No basis for boys getting anything due to being uncut.
It is not in my religion or culture to do so.
Nature made us that way for millions of years.

Edit: I am uncut myself.

Watch some YouTube videos of the procedure.  That's what I did, and made the decision after that.

Yep.

Takes about 30 seconds, and the kid will stop crying in about 2 minutes.

Easy procedure that can forestall quite a bit of risks down the line.

Studies have shown circumcision can decrease hiv transmission from female to male by 50-60%.

I'm in the medical field and cut my son. there is valid data that men who are circumcised have lower rates of STD ( including HIV).

I didn't give it a 2nd thought, it was kind of an automatic decision for my wife ( who is also in the medical field) and I.

So am I.

But I am uncut, my father is also in Medicine, he is uncut. My mother is an RN, she concurred.

had my son snipped.  do it for the cleanliness that the ladies will appreciate when it really matters to him.

also, buy and use lots of Vaseline on it until it heals for about a week after.

this will seal it off and it won't burn him when he pees in the diaper.   he will feel no pain

Is it because sex feels better uncut, and uncut people are more likely to be whores given the extra pleasure?  Or is there an actual anatomical rather than behavioral justification for this?

The professional baby birthers will recommend whatever the father is.  There is not a very compelling argument either way other than to avoid the eventual, "daddy why am I different than you" conversation.

Didn't do it to mine.  If he wants it done, he can choose it later (granted it will hurt more, but thats on him.)   It isn't my place to have elective surgery done on him, regardless of reasons.  Circumcision can always be done at a later date, undoing it.... not so much.

I'm cut, my daddy's cut, my sons are cut.  Apparently, my granddaddy wasn't. Not sure how my dad started that awkward conversation....

But anyway, my wife left it up to me when they were born. I had to explain the difference to her. Maybe she was as virtuous as she claimed! Or maybe circumcision is really that common

Yes the answer may be, "Nothing at all happened to it, all the others you have ever seen were clipped" but its going to be a big turn off by the time he explains.

Why would you do that to the baby right after being born. Its like O hey there son welcome to the world lets chop some of your dick off.

I was cut and will not do that to my son. If he wants it later on in life then he can go ahead and get cut and live with that decision.

No. It's unecessary.  I did it to my first born son (mistake), but not my second.

For people that say sex it better, you're uninformed. The head of the penis is desensitized by removed its protective cover.  Those nerve endings are only supposed to be stimulated during sex. When you're circumcised, they're constantly stimulated.

My boy is smart enough to learn to wash his prick and to learn prevention of stds.

Interesting that the origins of circumcision was not relating at ALL to health reasons.
