Played lots of shows in 89-92 or so with people who would later become famous. Nirvana, Green Day, Offspring, etc. Courtney love stole my Kustom bass amp. Noel Gallagher still owes me $25 from Fitzgerald's in Houston, and the lead singer from KMFDM needs to give me my leather trenchcoat back. Never played with NIN, but Trent Reznor is like 4 feet tall in real life. Don't ask about My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, they are insane, for reals.

I ran in to Richard Grieco a few times in one night in NY, we're from the same town, he was sorta famous at the time.
I met Shane Carwin at a store once, my wife took a pic of him with me and my kid. His fist was the size of my kid's head at the time. He was sorta famous at the time too. When I was a kid I met John Schneider at a car show, Dukes of Hazard was on tv, so he was pretty famous. |

Les Claypool and Larry LaLonde back in 1990 in a music store next to Bogart's in Cincinnati before a show.
Cool as fuck... we talked music and gear for about 10 min and they left to do the show. Met Randy Weaver at a gun show. Talked to him for a few... he seemed to be a broken man by then, and I walked away feeling very very sorry for him on several levels. Also met a few politicians, but I don't want to sully my reputation, and elevate theirs by mentioning their names. |

I met Santa Claus at a Christmas party last year, I thought it was pretty cool. He bummed a cigarette off of me when he left that night and that kinda surprised me, but he does have a pretty stressful job, so I can understand.

I've shaken hands with three Presidents, a slew of Sen's, Rep's, Gov's, and other assorted Pol's, as well as a couple of dozen actors, musicians, and other assorted "Personalities", but the ONLY one who really stands out, the ONLY one I honestly feel is worthy of even mentioning here is . . .
. . . JOHN WAYNE . . . I was ten years old, had just seen the movie "The Alamo" two weeks before, and got to visit with him, in person, for about ten minutes, while my mother delivered some legal documents to him, at his ranch in Santa Barbara, CA. dp |

Ellen Page Jimmy Fallon DeNiro Edward Norton Hillary Swank They used to film a shit ton of movies in our town and we (the pd) would have to work OT for traffic and security. Me too, my father designed the first motorized wheelchair for him on contract. I was very young at the time. Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville Alabama. Totally forgot about it. My dad worked on Mercury, Apollo, and the shuttles. I have pics of me aboard ENTERPRISE when it flew in mating with a 747. Cool. Not so cool: he was on ground control when challenger failed. His call home to inform was severed and we didn't hear from him for days. |

Matt McGrory used to be the bouncer at the bar I would go. Also probably the tallest guy I ever met too, definitely had the biggest feet of anyone I ever met
