We had a tech here for a short time that had 2 dwi convictions. He had a conditional license. Dealership insurance said as long as he wasn't driving them after work it was fine. It didn't take long and he did some stupid shit again that got him arrested and that was the end of that. Too bad really bc when he was sober he was a hell of a tech. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens more than you think.(someone with a bad drivers record working at a dealership). With how hard it is to find decent techs if someone has the abilities and the training exceptions are made for sure.

First Post!!!
OK seriously, they are lying to you big time. That damage is not from a deer. I've been in EMS for a long time and have worked a LOT of deer vs vehicle wrecks. Look at the way the hood is wrinkled up on the passenger side. That was run under another larger, taller vehicle or something like that. A car that short, the deer would have been thrown over the hood into the windshield and your damage would most likely be there. Theres no way that a deer would cause damage like that, not that I've ever seen. Good that you have pics and video. Next time make sure you have a phone or something on that can record your conversation with the dealership. If you can catch them in a lie on camera or audio, it will go a long way toward discrediting them if you have to go to court. |
|
Dealer insurance will want to fix it. They aren't going to give you a new car. Op gonna get hosed.
|
|
So let me get this straight, according to "their" (adventure Subaru ) rules, hypothetically a person could test drive one of their new cars, beat the ever living dogshit out of it, not be held responsible?
Lawyer up, contact all the local news outlets OP. once again, best of luck. |
|
There are some free phone call recording apps
It appears Ohio is in fact a single party notification state This means you should be recording your conversations without even telling them you are doing so May even be legal to post the good stuff to YouTubes |

Those pictures look really CLEAN to be a Deer Strike. No hair, gallons of blood, gallons of feces splashed all over the place and on the windshield. I would be curious as fuck,
I would contact the tow service (or call all in the area) and find out where it happened unless he didnt call a tow, in that case the car probably overhaeted at the minumum and I would want to know Also where was car towed from in relation to school and his home (was it a joyride?) I would have to know these variables... when I hit deer, I check out my truck and finish off the deer if needed and just continue on (they changed regs on animals hit on road for a food source and dont have time for that shit) NOW IF I was working and that happened I would make a point to document everything to alienate my self from blame, i would cll police for a record of it and make sure everyone knew it wasn't my fault...CYA good luck op |

The closest Subaru dealer to me in Bedford Hts. has a good parts department but the sales group and service dept. are some of the worst I have dealt with. I don't know if the OP will go to another Subaru dealer but the one's in Brunswick, Wickliffe, and Akron/Stow are pretty good. I would take nothing less than a new vehicle from them and would definitely lawyer up if necessary. |
