Just thought you might enjoy a little history about General Douglas MacArthur. If you don't understand, you probably went to a public school. They don't teach history there.

I read that years ago.....Till then I always thought he was a Virginian.

I didn't know that. Doug MacArthur was in San Francisco when some prisoner (soldier) escaped from Fortress Alcatraz (before it became a federal prison Alcatraz was one of the forts defending the San Francisco Bay). The soldier made his way to Fort Mason (one block away from Ghiradelli Square) and MacArthur tracked him down (yes, followed his footsteps) and captured him. |
