Putin Builds Naval and Army Base on Wrangell Island – Owned By the US

In May 1881 US explorers approached Jeannette Island, Wrangell Island and Henrietta Island in the Arctic Ocean and claimed them for the United States.

But according to the Obama Department of State no claim exists today over these US islands. In fact the State Department is conspiring with Russian President Putin to give away Wrangell Island to Russians. Wrangell and its 200 mile exclusive economic zone (EEZ) has billions of barrels of oil/gas reserves and hundreds of millions of pounds of fisheries. It also has a strategic military location for tracking Russian moves in Arctic.

Just when you think Obama and his administration can't be any bigger anti-American POS's now they are giving away strategic military locations, how many ways must they commit treason before they are stopped? I would think giving away a strategic military location to a non-ally whom are engaging in an invasion of a sovereign nation and whom could use this location against the US would in fact be treason.

Perhaps the US should have done something when the Soviets took Wrangell Island. Its a bit too late to worry about that, though.

Someone needs to look up the USSR-USA Maritime Boundary Agreement.

I'll blame Obama for a lot of things... But Bush 41 signed that Treaty, and the Senate Ratified it. (It was, however, never ratified by the Soviets, and there are some Ruskie Nationalists who want to renegotiate it... to take more from us)

In any event, Wrangel Island is WAY on their side of the line.

It's bogus. It's not far off the coast of Russia. The inhabitants have been Russian, the weather station has always been Russian, and the US has never been interested. In '76, Russia turned it into the equivalent of a Nat'l Park.
