View Quote Yeah, based upon what I've read about the former USSR, I'm pretty sure the Kalashnikov estate isn't getting a single kopek from the AK design. |

If royalties from production is the issue, she can open a plant here and make some money.

Can't have Russian advisors or techs......how about some from Finland then and Valmet.

Another company spokesperson reported that sales to US consumers make up 90 percent of the company’s civilian firearms sales. View Quote No shit? REALLLLLY? Wonder why that is. Oh yea. US Consumers are basically the only people that CAN buy it. Derp. |

Will they be tapco fucking the shit out of them or can I possibly get a classic ak74m without the rails and other AR add on bullshit?

I bet the U.S. will be the largest producer of AK type firearms in the world once all these operations get going. I'm talking in house from scratch rifles. RWC is the 3rd company this month that I heard was doing this. The others being Century and PSA.
Crazy world we live in |

Lift the EO Bush 1 signed and we could have kinds of cool shit again at reasonable prices.
lift the surplus ammo EO and cheap/er ammo would flow in |

I'm against American AKs for the simple reason they'll list above 1K and have more plastic shit hung on it than a Chevy Avalanche.
Any AK costing more than say, $250 is just WRONG. |

The US sales were the only things keeping the factories open really. Other than Venezuela who else has bought AKs recently? Even Vietnam decided to go with the Galil ACE in 7.62X39.
I think the Bulgarian Arsenal guns with Steyr bbls were the best AKs made;well, the most polished of the turds I suppose. |

I can understand her feelings. Kalashnikov was a Russian patriot and the AK was his way of helping win the war and make his country stronger and the US and the Russians have never been friends.
Stoner's family might feel the same if the Norks or Vietnamese started producing AR-15 pattern rifles. But, times change and shit happens, deal with it. |

Mikhail Kalashnikov said years back that he himself was pissed.
He was pissed that a rifle he "designed" is making many rich except for him. He was pissed that the ChiComs and Egyptians (this was back in the early 90s when he made the statement) were selling them by the boatload while he was sitting is some shitty Russian Flat collecting a crappy State Pension from the Russian Government and drinking rut gut vodka while freezing to death. Mikhail Kalashnikov will always say publicly that he was a proud Socialist and was glad his design went to the State. Privately, he resented his choices in life when the wall fell and that he was fucked and backed the wrong horse in the race. His daughter is pissed that she inherited nothing of true value for the most part. |
