As we know, join date and post count are highly important factors in whether a poster is taken seriously or not.
As such, the older members are generally an honored breed. That system has worked well for a long time, but just a few years ago, we had a major glitch in the time / space continuum. Around the middle of the year 2012, we began to notice a influx of derpitude that we now call, " The Wave ". They appear totally normal at first, but once the discussion turns to " sensible " gun control or politics, the damage they suffered riding that wave becomes evident. My theory, is that something happened that shorted out a very necessary portion of the frontal lobe, and this is why the problem exists. Not every one of them was affected. I'm not sure if those persons were tinfoil protected, or if their mother's basements were lined with enough lead to stop the energy blast that shocked the brains of the others. Either way, we need to do something. We thought that it was only a glitch in 2012 that was caused by the electronic vote switching machines when they sent out the signals to make the changes for the usurper's second win. We were wrong. 2013 was a year of unbelievable derpitude. Then 2014 was nearly as derptastic. Thinking it was dying down, we started to accept the 15ers as our own, but it looks like we may have trusted too soon. They're popping up this year as well, though nobody can hold a candle to the 13ers. So, the proposal. Anyone with a join date of July 2012 through the current date, and proactive until the year 2020, to include all teen years, will be simply marked with , TEENER. Having TEENER as the join date will protect us from the Herp and the Derp. Now, once verified to have been in their mother's basement or wearing enough tinfoil to stop the brain pollution, they will be given a join date. This may take six months to a year. Additionally, we have discovered that if the new members' fingers were covered with at least 2.4 millimeters thickness of cheese puff residue, it stopped the grounding of the electrical signal, and protected them as well. No Canadian members were affected, as drinking bagged milk and boiling 1911s also had an effect on the transmission of the the electrons. Thank you. |

Are there any 15ers that haven't been found to be familiar yet?

There are some of us that have been here a hell of a lot longer than you, but have new names.

The Mark of the Beast 13 needs to be visible.
Anyone with a 13 account will be probably be getting shit into the 2020s if this site is still around. |

I've been here long enough to have seen that '08ers are the OG '13ers.
Lotta derp comes from that year, OP included. |

People only really give a shit about join date and post count in GD.
It's a form of hazing. If you can't handle it, GTFO. |

I disagree with the premise. The 14ers and 15ers seem normal to me.
The 13ers...... "unique". Now THEY should be forever labeled.

Fucking eights. Hold on a sec, the threads in the helicoils I used to bolt the continuum back together stripped out. Note to self. Do not order helicoils for the space / time thingy from alibaba.com. And use red loctite. Yep. They're useless. |

"Teener".........................
Although you make a great point..........even you correctly stated that the 13er's set a level of lunacy that will probably NEVER be paralleled if Arfcom survived another 10,000 years. Therefore, we MUST make special dispensations for the 13er's. |

The post count, join date is supposed to be an indication of whether or not someone MIGHT be a troll (notice the use of the word MIGHT, not IS--it makes a difference). As a troll, doing what trolls do, will not last long enough to get a lot of posts (Aimless being the exception) and so much constantly make a new account--i.e. recent join date.
It has morphed into a joke (which became much more viable after SH when the flood of newbs--i.e. 13ers came marching in). The join date is still a pretty good measure of whether someone is being sarcastic versus trolling, so I say keep it. |

Funny post OP.
The whole join date/post count aspect of posting here is noting more than banter and a bit of fun. Join date and post count as a measure of credibility are irrelevant IMO. Content of the post is what counts, and the ability of the person to hold a conversation and discuss a topic sensibly are what I see as more meaningful indicators. |
