So you find believable that a guy smart enough to be in the FBI is 30 feet away shooting at a couple he knows well who are driving a car he's seen parked outside their house on numerous instances and doesn't make the connection? LOL.

Now, I have to keep watching and laughing to see how bad it really gets.

I find it eminently believable that almost everyone sees what they expect to see, and do not see what they do not expect to see.

That's pretty much exactly what was going on in most of US mass-media back in the 80s.  Reagan was routinely portrayed as a senile old cowboy who was going to nuke the world trying to flush the toilet.

We do this every season.  There's always someone who doesn't have the intellectual horsepower to understand that hes watching a story about SOVIET AGENTS and that those characters will, by necessity, have the views of SOVIET AGENTS.

Same with Breaking Bad, some people went full retard on here bitching that it glorified Meth ... If they'd actually watched it, they would have seen how many characters lost everything... Literally.

Really?  Wow.  I missed most of that series, so I missed that.

It's just not something I'd think would be normal "shock" fodder for TV.

Yep.  And he should be a wee bit careful/ concerned regarding Martha's change in behavior.

I wonder if the stone cold bitch's armor is starting to crack a little - tonight was another instance of her being disturbed by what she was doing.  I wonder if the old lady reminded her of her mom...

I was surprised her neck wasn't snapped when they hugged. Then I was surprised when she wasn't smothered with a pillow as they slept.

We know that her days are numbered, and she's outlived her usefulness, what's he waiting for?!?

I figure evidence will be planted to implicate her as the mole that planted the bug. That will make her useful in her death.

I keep wondering how they would keep up their dedication and indoctrination. You would think a life time of soccer mom cushy suburbanite status would soften the core since their training was at a young age. It seems Phillip is leaning that way but the bitch is still frozen to the core. That one episode was trip, the one that showed how they had to screw old people and get down with the homo just to know what it's like. It make you wonder if that was ever really tried anywhere. Crazy shit...

I think it could be flipped into a hell of a movie if done right.

I thought he was going to kill her off last episode there for a bit when she started questioning him. Looked like he was contemplating it. I missed tonights but it's recorded.

IMHO it doesn't matter - the FBI would be interviewing them in the event of Martha's death right now due to the odd timing, and they could ID Phillip and Elizabeth (playing as Clark's sister at the wedding).  Can't remember if family pics were taken or not.

they very well could, but it's the 1980's.  sure, the information's probably in her address book or physically pull out her personnel file, but it's not quite at their fingertips the way it is today.  if they can conceal her body or make it look like she's gone of her own free will, etc. it could delay the search.

Even back then, people working in positions like that had background checks run on them.  As the secretary/ assistant to that level of FBI supervisor, I'm sure she had a security clearance. Her parents info would have been in that paperwork.  No problem tracking them down.  And considering the timing, if Martha appears to have just packed and left - she would be looked at with suspicion as the possible source of the bug, and a hunt for her would begin. Parents would be very high on my list of who to contact.  Wouldn't take very long.

I kept missing episodes until I finally got the DVR settled down to record the damn thing every week. I saw this last one but missed some here and there prior. Did he kill off Martha or not? From the comments it sounds like he did. Whatever happened with the Kimmie character? Is that over and done somehow? The last thing I saw about it is they putting the device in the attache case.
