Thank goodness he notifies everyone that it's hot after every magazine.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but IV8888 went from never mentioning Geissele, to basically being their spokesman overnight. Very disingenuous and not obvious at all Thats coming from a Geissele rail fanboy.

Not bad. I've watched Metalman abuse an AR until the upper was smoking at both ends of the gas tube, smoke pouring out of the handguards.

No way in hell would I be holding a gun that was likely going to cook off near the mag well.

Cool. Would have been cooler with more close ups of what he was talking about.

Yeah, but is it getting hot?
Watching other people's stuff break is fun. |

Awesome! Love how he starts to be less chatty and looks to his buds as things heat up... It's that pucker mode just before oh shit mode.

Nah, if you watch the two mag dumps before it came off you can see the gap with the barrel threads exposed and the gap increasing before it finally disappears. I gotta wonder if he had a crush washer or index rings on it. Video resolution wasn't quite high enough for me to make out any rings vibrating around in the gap. Still, only 870 rounds before catastrophic failure eh? Shoulda bought Intacto. |

Is there anyone who can make a gif out of the last few seconds when he says I guess I'm a scientist and looks to the side?
|
|
He's crazy. I'm not sure how far the camera was away from him but even at that distance I could clearly see the barrel glowing orange through the rail. If it's glowing, isn't it near the point of melting and drooping?

"It is NOT designed for this type of Abuse..."
Well Said Fred! How exactly do I get a job that allows me to use cool class III weapons to burn up ammo & uppers?? BIGGER_HAMMER |

Ate a pretty good volume of steel case before it blew up.
It would have really sucked if he broke the registered lower. |

I need his ammo budget(sponsor).
Fun to watch. Glad I wasn't paying for this experiment. |

Stainless barrels have poor heat resistance for this kind of firing schedule.

I kinda want to burn down my old RRA upper in similar fashion.
On Semi Auto that will get tiring though |

Brake started spinning loose from 1st or 2nd magazine. My buddy had an AAC single chamber that was just about to fall off after the first mag. He's damn lucky I caught it before he hit it or had it fly off into the creek. |
