I know this has been beat to death, but has anybody had problems with this ammo. In my bushmaster it jams about every oyher shot. It sticks in the chamber or the empty round gets jamed between the bolt and the end of the charging handle.

Please answer a few ??'s:

Where'd you get it?  What year is it?  How was it packed (battle pack or other)?  Any other ammo types give you problems?

03, try some diffeent ammo, and bear in mind that AR's DO need 2-300 rounds to break in.  Also thoroughly clean the chamber with a chamber brush or 9mm bore brush..

My son and I have gone through thousands of rounds of the PMP gazelle box commercial loads in DPMS rifles without a problem. Paspecops has the right suggestion in trying various ammo. You need to determine if the problem is in the rifle or in the ammo.

The ammo was in a battle pack and it came from Cheaper Than Dirt. The rifle functions fine with other ammo. Only about 250 rds through the rifle but I asure you it was clean when I tried this ammo.

I have shot about 1000 rds. through my BM Dissipator and never had a single MF of any nature.

Currently staring at 4k over in the corner of my computer room.

Been buying mine from www.aimsurplus.com

I think Tennessee Guns has it also fro the same price of $39/300

Good quality ammo IMO and basically up to M193 spec.

The lot number is 230 A 85 Z. There has'nt been a fail to fire. the fired round sticks in the chamber or if it is pulled out it wedges between the end of the charging handle and the bolt.

Got the same batch, 230A/85Z, from CTD and have had NO problems running them through 2 BM.

What kind of mags are you using?

A majority of jams are caused by the mag.

I've noticed that ammonia smell also. Any ideas about why it smells different.  I just purchased a new battle pack @ the Mobile gun show at a good price $36.95.
