Go for it!!! Done. We need 6-10 teams now. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_125/1713331_.html&page=1 I'll be in for sure. I'm still going to do an F1 only league as well as long as there's interest in that for this thread. Cool, that's three teams already if Delta is in. Defiantly do the F1 league as well, its challenging picking the top 10. I'm in, I just need to wait till I get home before I can sign up. Work blocks arfcom. |

From a purely subjective aesthetic standpoint, I like the looks of the force India car the best so far. It might be just because the high point of the front half of the car continues forward further than the other cars, before dropping.
They all look better than last year's cars though.

Yea, cars look way better. A lot of them have a long nose still (McLaren, Ferrari, Toro Rosso) but no more black dongs. Sauber's new paint scheme is pretty cool.
I hope it's a more competitive year. |

First pictures I've seen of the front wing on the new McLaren. Should be interesting to hear what the other teams have to say about it.

Red Bull uses camouflage, it's super effective (on the front wing). They have a...Front wing nose vent? Lotus E23 on track. McLaren tweeted this. Seriously. THERE'S A CHANCE, GUYS! Ted's Notebook testing day one. |

Little early to look at times however the mileage all the teams are getting in is promising...apart from Honda which is on Renaults 2014 schedule

Exit for their S-Duct system. They (and a few others) have been running them for a few years. http://i.imgur.com/AQ6wegb.gif They can't channel air through the nose this year. Top part is definitely the S-Duct intake. Bottom...who knows. Might channel air to the blown front axle...probably the bargeboards. ETA: Here is a great shot from Sutton. |

Cars seem to sound more like cars this year, and less like Dyson vacuums.

how long until that barge board becomes one with teh front wing?

(I'm nechanically retarded ) The s-duct channels air from the underside of the nose and injects it on top to promote flow attachment on steeply raked noses. Pics from last years Red Bull highlighting the intake (lower) and exit (top) for the s-duct. Pic of the duct. Having looked at other pics, I don't think there are ducts on the turning vanes (just the angle and lighting). Turning vanes |

Some interesting plans on the drawing board for 2016/2017.
2016 - could see wider tires and fewer aerodynamic restrictions. 2017 - could see no fuel flow restrictions (850-1000hp) http://www.grandprixtimes.com/news/display/09837 |

I heard that the Ferrari have been surprisingly fast in these last few days.
Even surprising Rosberg and Lauda. The good results of Sauber as well apparently seem to indicate that the new power unit is much much better than last year. What gives ? |

View Quote Merc shortened the engine design process considerably by investing half a billion dollars into the R&D of the new engine, therefore they had very few bugs to work out and were maxing out the available power by the beginning of the season. I would doubt that Renault or Ferrari spent even half the money that Merc did on the design and therefore ended up having to do a lot of their testing on track, during the races. I don't know if everyone will be fully caught up this year, but there might at least be some competition. What are the Renault engine cars looking like so far? I've been up to my eyeballs in work and haven't had a chance to watch any of the testing.
