Glad the jerkoffs at UW are on Christmas break and won't be back for a while.....
There is a sizeable population of them and their supporters living in Madison. Ironic how higher education makes people so freaking dumb. |

Here's a thought, when an LEO is talking to you how about you don't assault him, take his baton and commence to striking him with it. That just may keep you from getting shot.

Milwaukee Police Officer Christopher Manney‘s “use of force” in the shooting death of 31-year-old Dontre Hamilton was “justified self-defense” according to the District Attorney’s office.
“This was a tragic incident for the Hamilton family and for the community,” Chisholm said in a statement. “But, based on all the evidence and analysis presented in this report, I come to the conclusion that Officer Manney’s use of force in this incident was justified self-defense and that defense cannot be reasonably overcome to establish a basis to charge Officer Manney with a crime.” On April 30, Manney shot Hamilton responding to a call for a welfare check on a man sleeping in a downtown park. Manney said Hamilton resisted when he tried to frisk him. The two exchanged punches before Hamilton got a hold of Manney’s baton and hit him on the neck with it, the former officer has said. Manney pulled his gun and opened fire. Hamilton, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and had recently stopped taking his medication according to family members. Several witness corroborated Officer Manny’s accounts regarding Hamilton holding the baton in an “aggressive posture.” There was no video of the altercation. |

I don't think enough people know how bad WI really is.
I grew up there, left in 92 for college, came how for a few years (96-2001) and just knew that there was no way I could continue to live in a place that held so much disdain for the people who actually work. The amount of socialist groupthink that goes on there is staggering. My own father and his family openly talked about knowing how their politics would eventually cause the entire system to collapse, but as long as they were part of the protected class (union members), they just didn't give a shit. WI was the destination of choice for decades for FSA county-wide. All you had to do was show up at the welfare office. Just being in the state qualified you for more money than almost anywhere else in the country. The combination of union and FSA took WI to the brink, with staggering budget shortfalls. Gov Walker is absolutely fucking amazing with the progress he has made, especially with the challenge of the recall and the mind-shattering hatred he gets from the socialists. I now think there may be a tiny chance that WI might be worth living in again. However, the scumbags are still thick as fleas. Only in WI will a total stranger start a conversation with "Don't you just hate that bastard Walker?" I don't think I could stand it for more than a week every few years. |

I'll agree that there is still a nasty pervasive streak of the odd WI liberal dichotomy existing, the "good old boy my pappy's pappy worked for the county and my pappy worked for the county and now I work for the county, Chevrolet driving, guns are for hunting Fudds who vote Democrat regardless of who it is" but stuff like this shooting is where the vast majority of them draw the line between just how liberal they're going to be. In my opinion anyway. They can still get fucked, but they're not quite the raving lunatic Che aggrandizing, Obama worshipping, Daily Kos reading cock suckers you find in Madison. |
