I would guess that a former gun library employee bought it from a "customer" at that price, and now Cabela's is trying to recoup the money.

They had ARs for normal prices out in the regular part of the gun area, even had pistols with Sig braces already attached.  Not sure what the story is on this thing.

That would be my guess, they bought it for a few $K during a panic and couldn't unload it for the ridiculous price they were asking.

I realize that it would be quite a bit below market value, but I spend that much on an AR15 it better have a fun switch....
