My mom and I used to watch him all the time. I made my parents buy me the 'Bob Ross Master Paint Set' when I was a kid. I tried to paint a cabin, but I messed it up and made it into a huge boulder (brown blob) that took up most of the canvas

. I also didn't bother to read the instructions and neglected to apply the first layer of gesso(?) to the canvas, which is the foundation of the technique Bob Ross used

. I still have most, if not all, of the components of the Master Paint Set, I've thought about trying it again.
