Everyone else does. Don't we pay for our subscriptions? Cheap fuckers.

apps are for hipster and faggots. we use programs here. since that's what an "app" is.
|
|
[#2]
I wondered this myself. I think there's a thread in the Site Suggestions forum about it but I never saw a response from GB.
|
|
[#4]
Disappointing really. I'm not sure if the site just won't easily convert to app form or someone doesn't want to spend the money. Almost all of the other forums I am on have an app, most of them are smaller and have less posting volume than this one.
|
|
[#5]
IIRC, the website would have to be re-written to be app friendly. Lots of cost and work.
|
|
[#6]
ARF is custom code, not some modified off the shelf proboards crap.

We don't even have quick reply functionality. You're jumping ahead.

I'd be happy with IM functionality on the mobile version, which I use a lot.
Mobile version: http://www.ar15.com/mobile/ |

When I bookmarked Arf on my Iphone/Ipad, it created an Arfcom icon.
I just touch it and it goes to the GD page. ETA: The icon is the Bolt Face Logo. It asked if I wanted to create an icon, I clicked yes. Done. |

Full site works just fine for me. Don't need app, haven't used mobile in a long time.
|
|
[#15]
We should have like Foursquare for Arfkom. So your phone goes off when another member is within 1 mile or something. And the app would display their avatar and screen name.

IN! App is desperately needed. This site is really awful to use on my iPhone 6, which doesn't have a small screen (4.7"). I mean even if we could just access it by Tapatalk that would be fine. But as it is now, I don't bother coming to arfcom unless I have at the very least an iPad handy. Anything smaller sucks.
Please come out with an app. |
|
[#19]
Not only does arfcom not have an app, but the site itself is not up to par. On other sites, when I get a notification email, the link will take me right to the last unread post. On arfcom, I have to scroll around looking for where I left off. The instant messenger system sucks, too.
But I laugh my ass off every now and then so I keep hanging around. |

Of course I have a 5.5" screen on my phone so it is no problem browsing the full version. Even with a 4" it was OK, just more zooming to navigate. |

I don' see the need for the app unless it add I'm notifications and a notification for custom searching items in the EE. he'll I'd pay for that function.
I don't know why anyone is having problems using the full site on any smart phone. has worked for me fine on droid X, razr HD, and is awesome on my new note 4. You should try the Dolphin browser. |

I use my old Casio Commando with a 3.X" screen most of the time on the full site. |

Wow. Opera Mini really makes a difference, even without the single column view.
