I don't know what police departments you deal with.  If you've got your serial numbers written down, there's a decent shot you'll get it when it winds up in a pawn shop or is found in a dope house.

Right because those two were executed in the street for jay walking and selling cigarettes.

How about...your chances of being seriously hurt or killed dramatically increases when you punch, fight, and/or try to disarm a police officer. And your chances of having a heart attack greatly increases when you are 200lbs over weight and get into a physical fight with the Police while resisting arrest.

I'm fine with the shirts too. I'm also fine with the City Councilmen asking the cop to not sell them. I see it as one more First Amendment exercise in a long chain of them. If they went beyond that and fired him for it (assuming he is doing it on his free time), I'd probably have bigger concerns.

It makes it SEEM like they are the judge, jury, and executioner.

This is why we have PR firms, so people don't do stupid shit like this... more often.

When the .gov is your employer, they may impose restrictions on those who have entered into an employer-employee relationship with them that they (hopefully) can't impose on regular citizens. As ARFCOM likes to say, "never invite the man into your life".

And only report to injury accidents so good luck with the other guys insurance paying up for running into you without a police report written by a non biased officer if it's just a fender bender.

You guys live in some screwed up places. We take all calls and if a report is needed and wanted, we do it. Theft calls are taken as well. We close cases and recover property all the time. Heck, we even process the scene for prints unless it's a death investigation or large scene. For that we call in techs but mostly we do our own prints. What the F is wrong with your LEOs? Lazy bastards sounds like.

Lulz

Mission:

The United States Coast Guard is the nation's leading maritime law enforcement agency and has broad, multi-faceted jurisdictional authority. The specific statutory authority for the Coast Guard Law Enforcement mission is given in 14 USC 2, "The Coast Guard shall enforce or assist in the enforcement of all applicable laws on, under and over the high seas and waters subject to the jurisdiction of the United States." In addition, 14 USC 89 provides the authority for U.S. Coast Guard active duty commissioned, warrant and petty officers to enforce applicable U.S. law. It authorizes Coast Guard personnel to enforce federal law on waters subject to U.S. jurisdiction and in international waters, as well as on all vessels subject to U.S. jurisdiction (including U.S., foreign and stateless vessels).

Don't forget to hold the tomatoes on that burger. I hate those damn things and they make the rest of the burger taste like shit.

This. I'd even go so far as to agree with the Coastie.  It's been widely posted here that it's not an athlete's prerogative to get on a political soapbox. Well then it's certainly not the place for a non-partisan public servant to do so either.  Especially one who holds the power of life and death, and especially not in a smarmy, condescending manner.  Fuck the Ferguson protestors and Fuck the Police.

The problem is that you can interpret that statement as:

"Don't want to die, don't break the law."

False argument.

The police are not wearing the T-shirt while on their job.

The police, athlete's, and you, are welcome to wear whatever they want on their own time.
