We will probably get a rescue dog after our cruise in Feb, that will give it 6 months to get settled before the baby is due. Just make sure you get one that's been fostered for a while and has tested ok with kids. You got any specific breeds in mind? Nope, probably a mutt, something medium sized (30-60lb) Great Dog Rescue New England, MSPCA, and Animal Rescue League of Boston all seem to have foster programs and some sort of behavioral screening. Hopefully this 10 mile hike with my 50 pound pack will help cure my insomnia tonight. Otherwise, getting up at 6am tomorrow is going to suck. Have to take truck in for wheel alignment, and then leave out for Christmas trip that day.

Usually, if we're having a 94 degree day, my hometown is having a 98 or 100 degree day. The thing that sucks in the canyon though, is there might not be very much wind. The other thing that kinda sucks is the canyons are also a state park. No open carry of rifle or pistol. Conceal carry only. Even then, I think there's a $200 fine for discharge of a firearm in a state park. I much prefer to go out on private property, but I'm not afforded that luxury in Amarillo. |
