Episode 1 - Peter Gunn

Peter Gunn, and one of the best theme songs for a TV series. Probably everyone here will recognize it as the Blues Brothers theme, but it goes way back.

What's really IS fun is knowing there are channels out there that broadcast Very Old TV series.  Every once in a while I see a show I haven't seen in decades.

All of them. TV today sucks, is bland and is mostly unwatchable. These are some I used to enjoy.

EMERGENCY!  I cut the cable and put up an antenna, and  got hooked on me tv's cheesy 70's show emergency 51.  I laugh when I see the big ashtrays in the  rampart hospital scenes or  no seatbelts or class 3 safety vests worn when out on the road  .Got a fire?  No turn out gear needed just the the fireman's  hat to go into a burning building.

If you like old shows, get a Roku box. There are lots of channels with old movies and TV shows. Shows like "Elizabeth", starring a very young Betty White.

That tv show is responsible for more EMTs, Firefighters, and cops than any county, state, or federal anything. I don't know if you were ever part of emergency services. I was. Everywhere you go - "I watched Emergency! and I wanted to do that." I know there's a bunch of us on this site, including me.

Jack Webb produced it forty two years ago, and I think it's safe to say that show saved at least a million lives in this country. That man should be honored by the Congress for what he did.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Man_from_U.N.C.L.E.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is an American television series broadcast on NBC from September 22, 1964, to January 15, 1968. It follows secret agents, played by Robert Vaughn and David McCallum, who work for a secret international espionage and law-enforcement agency called U.N.C.L.E. Originally co-creator Sam Rolfe wanted to leave the meaning of U.N.C.L.E. ambiguous so it could refer to "Uncle Sam" or the United Nations.[1] Concerns by the MGM legal department about using "U.N." for commercial purposes resulted in the producers' clarification that U.N.C.L.E. was an acronym for the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement.[2] Each episode had an "acknowledgement" to the U.N.C.L.E. on the end titles.
