Treasure Hunt

George Carlin once noted there was The Dating Game, The Newlywed Game and this, The Honeymoon Race Game.  All that was missing was The Divorce Game.

The Donna Reed Show

There was a Games show, the host I think was Dennis James.  I forget its title.

Interesting premise:
There contestants were shown three sets of prizes of different values.
To win the prize all they had to do was to claim it.  BUT if more than one contestant claimed the prize then Nobody won it.

Example:
Prize Number One: Two Bushmaster rifles plus accessory's total value $14,999.95
Prize Number Two: A set of US Optics riflescopes worth a total value of $12,000.00
Prize Number Three: A Registered Receiver M16A1: Value about $28,000.00

Pick one and hope none of your competitors chooses the same prize YOU pick.  If nobody else picks your prize you keep what you choose..

Technically if they all pick a different prize they will all win something.  The catch is the contestant with the highest total value will come back the next day as the champion and be able to win more prizes.  So while the obvious choice is No. 3 a smarter person might choose 1 or 2 because the others going after the most valuable will cancel each other out.

I forget the name of this show, it disappeared after a few weeks/months.  I also hope I explained the rules, too.

I caught this game show on the Sci-Fi Show.  I saw a couple of episodes.  It just couldn't sustain my interest too long.  Neither did the series on the air.

I'm surprised this show hasn't been mentioned sooner.

OK: Follow this: The Sarge was a man who was learning for the priesthood.  Then World War II came about and sidetracked him.  A marriage to a woman he fell in loved kept him away from becoming a priest as well.  He became a police officer and a Sergeant Detective in homicide.
Then his wife was murdered.

So not only did he become a priest he also caught his wife's murderer after he donned the Collar
