I work one day a week at my LGS. Mostly for buying things at cost, as I get Friends of the Industry pricing :)

So 21 y/o kid driving a C L S 63 ..comes in and says what will you give me for it.  NIB it is $3300...Jesus ...we give him $1800 and he takes it right away.  We would have gone to 2K but..

Anyway my boss says he will give it to me for what we paid as I am a huge HK fan. Other than the name and it's Piston drive, would you pay my price for it.

I just ordered my Stag 8 T...but can get both if I want.

At that price; buy it.

FPNI

I'd grab that -- assuming the condition is good, which I figure it is since the shop bought it.

At that price point, and you being a HK fan, yes. You probably won't ever get a better deal, on a HK MR556 and you will kick yourself in the butt, if you don't move on it.

Buy it. It's a nice rifle, albeit a bit heavy.

yeah she is def. nose heavy, but as all piston guns are fat up front..no surprise there. I compared it in weight to a SR 556 and it felt a bit lighter..

I am pretty excited about it, so I will go ahead and at least put it on lay a way as its only 20% down and bal due in 60 days. Now I can say I have a " Match Rifle" ..now if I could find a 416 Upper ..it would be big pimpin...

If you buy it, you won't remember the $1800 in a few years.
If you don't buy it, in 20 years you will be telling your shooting buddy how you missed a chance at buying one.

At that price, you won't loose money if you ever sold it.

I can agree - at that price, it's a good deal considering what they normally go for.

However, it's far from being a decent civilian replica of the 416, and far overpriced compared to other piston guns. Don't let that stop you from enjoying it through.

Lucky man.............I wish I could find one at that price

Nobody has said it yet, so I will...Hell no!  That is the answer you were looking for, as you didn't come in here and post..."look what I bought today thread".  Now make yourself happy and post pics of your new rifle

Buy it as fast as you can

Used on GB have sold around $2200 if that helps.  Your essentially getting the rifle for what  new HK upper sells for.

I'm not particularly an HK fan and I would buy it for that price.

I'd spend that kinda money on the H&K over and over before I'd spend it on a SCAR.

Buy it, fill out a form 1, and send the barrel to Adco to have it cut down to 10.4".

Buy it, it's only money.

You need to jump on that if you're an HK fanboy.  That's one hell of a rifle at a screaming deal.  You will probably never see one that cheap again unless it's ragged the F out or its stolen.

Is it stolen?

For 18 hundred, yeah I'd get it. Just the resale ability alone is worth it.

No, it's clean. We always run every used gun we are going to buy thru a stolen gun database. Only once did we get a guy trying to shit the bed on us. The owner and I both got bad vibes from the guy. I was asking him about the rifle , Valumet Model 76 in 7.62 ..he could not buy a clue about the rifle. I held him there while the boss ran the gun. Not only was it hot, he was a felon in possession as well. That was a one time deal though.
