There are so many, I won't even attempt a poll.
If your favorite is not a common one, please describe it a bit. Mine is probably my grandma's 7 layer bars. Possibly not technically a cookie, but close enough I think. Not sure what all is in them. Graham cracker crust, coconut, butterscotch white and milk chocolate chips, pecans or walnuts, sweetened condensed milk. OD on those and you'll definitely get the 'beetus. Let's hear yours. |

My wife's...
Aside from that. I like the chocolate oatmeal cookes if they're done right. Does peanut butter fudge count? |

Those go to waste around here. Hardly anybody likes them. I do like the Dutch butter cookies that come in the big tin, stacked in the little cupcake papers. We've got two big tins of them here at the shop. Delicious when dunked in coffee. |

Peanutbutter sugar cookies with chocolate chips and cashews.

Oh, Bourbon Balls. Forgot about those.
Had a guy at work bring some in one time. Tasted great but they were stronger that something we should have been eating while at work. He was pissed because his wife made them the night before and he figured out that she'd used the Knob Creek in the cabinet to make them instead of the cheaper stuff he had bought to use. |
|
The decorated and frosted sugar cookies for sure
Peanut Blossoms Pumpkin snickerdoodles |

Tie between Molasses and Gingerbread. Ok, upon second though I'd say Molasses.

I don't eat much sugar anymore (), but I liked those ones with the chocolate kiss in them. Then home made Peanut brittle and fudge. I miss Christmas sweets, but it's good not to be fat anymore.

Anything with almond paste. Rum balls are my #2. View Quote Best thing I've ever had with marzipan is Dutch Letters. Never had anything like them. The ones I had were spicy/sweet. Very unique taste and texture. Another from grandma: Date nut balls. Pretty much smashed up dates with puffed wheat and chopped pecans, rolled in a little white sugar. |

ROYAL MOTHERFUCKING DANSK!
Yeah, sure, they fuck geese and wear wooden shoes, but those fuckers make some badass cookies. |
|
|
Those little pecan pie cup cookies. My Grandmother in the 70s called them "pecan goodie cups".
I have not had one since my Grandmother died in the 90s, she was the only person I knew who made them. Runner up is probably those shortbread christmas tree cookies she used to make as well. |
|
Dutch butter. Also pick up a few tins afterwards when theyre on sale.
|
|
Pecan tassies. They're basically miniature pecan pies made in cupcake pans. My wife makes them every year. So freaking good.

And they're delicious. peppernuts are NOT the same as polish wedding cakes. Pfeffernusse are a spice cake cookie (insert country of planned insult's name here) wedding cakes are unleavened and have a shitload more butter and my favorite holiday cookie is mamma's sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting. |

My favorite would probably be kolaches, especially ones with apricot filling. They are basically an eastern european pastry/cookie.
My other favorite holiday cookie is oatmeal with dried cranberries (craisins) instead of raisins. I think they are far superior to oatmeal raisin cookies due to the extra tartness of the cranberries. |
|
Don't know if they have a proper name, but they're made with cane syrup.
