Pre-trailer was so lame - but the trailer on the other post is not half bad (if it was clipped in half)...Trailer above is tempting. I think I missed 3, but 2 was terrible. At least getting back to the park allows them to reload the franchise and hopefully forget the abortion.

Or is JW a fucking reboot of JP? Well, my thought on it as they showed the gigantic pavilion and they alluded to the additional dinos was that the genie was out of the bottle. There is no point in being afraid of the technology because we made it. In the movie we evidently made genetically modified raptors as helpers, which is cool as hell. There's no point in denying the technology even though we failed to control it. So this movie embraces the technology (and delivers it into Bryce Dallas Howard's lovely hands). Also, despite the megafail that JP2 was, I love seeing dinosaurs tear sh!t up, so feel free to ignore my opinion.

His large revolver aside, I think his choice of armament in the movie was silly. A SPAS-12 with the stock folded until the last moment for use against dinosaurs? A Kenyan PH like his character would have at least used a heavy double rifle or even a super-heavy (like the PH in the second movie). The choice by the writers or producers to go with the SPAS-12 and M-16A1 was just plain dumb. I do wish his character would have prevailed in the movie as well, but he nevertheless died well. |
