Also, most of the illegals from points further south are pretty much functionally illiterate in both English and Spanish. Many of them have (at best) an 8th grade education. So there is that as a hurdle. Looks like we will have to become a bi-lingual society to accommodate them. As an aside, many kids of illegals and childhood immigrants graduated from my High School in California without having been taught a mastery of the English language. One of the vice principals was a full fledged member of La Raza and shepherded "her" kids through the system with a minimum of English exposure. ETA: I have a few clients (extremely wealthy people) that have their children in primarily Spanish speaking schools. Thought is a complete mastery of Spanish will be a necessity to conduct business in the "New America" and they will get taught English at home. All of these families are white FWIW. I grudgingly agree with them. Give it 2-3 generations and whites will be a distinct minority. |

here is why this is not going to be an issue.
Bobby the lawn care guy is paying Pablo 10.00 an hour under the table now. Bobby is NOT going to pay tax and insurance to hire him legally or he would be paying Frank to do the work. Pablo is NOT going to settle for 10.00 less tax and insurance to do the same job he was getting 10.00 straight for yesterday. Nothing is going to change from a labor standpoint. All that will change is more people will join the FSA and take money and befits from what we already contribute. |

I'd be far more receptive to this if I thought this wasn't all about the demo party and votes, but there is no doubt in my mind that this is purely for that reason. When I was a kid (In the Los Angeles area 1960's and '70's) AA's pretty much did all of the concrete work around there. They took a long time, did killer work (That lasted decades) and seemed to be proud about it. Today? You get a gang of "illegals" who do the same work in hours and 5yrs later(?).....yard sale. I'm just amazed that Americans Of African Descent still support that POS in the WH (Or the DNC).  |
