Never should have tried to do that shit. SHould have just got a proper suppressor and had it done right but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. My fucking retarded ass wanted to be able to attache a blank adapter.  Run me through what you did again. It had a muzzle break pinned and welded when I got it. Upper was assemled by Gunsmoke Enterprises back in 2000 or 2001. I wanted it cut off and wanted to have a true A2 flash suppressor on it. FOund a dude that had done it using a jam nut of the proper thread pattern. FOund one, and jp offered to pin and weld it since he has the tools and does a good job. He says he had no issues putting everything together, but he did have to add some washers to make sure th ewhole thing 16"+. Well, I had to get the flash suppressor off to install the new barrel nut for my new rail. Ground off the weld, pin dropped out, flas suppressor screwed right off. That jam nut did not. And no, it did not have a pin. I checked. Had to use the wrench to get it off. And that's what I found. The flash suppressor would still screw right on, but the threads in the jam nut are just as fucked up. All I can think of is either the heat effected the threads somehow, or the jam nut was not quite the right pitch from the get go.
