I picked up a piece of cactus on the beach in Hilton Head SC because I didn't see any needles. Turns out they are like tiny little hairs that stick in your skin just the same. Regret, regret, regret.

Used to do car audio for a living.

Wait until you have been using a die grinder on a metal door with the speakers that you are wanting to put in that same door, laying nearby picking up gobs of metal "needles" on their magnets. You reach over and grab the speaker with all of those thousands of metal shavings stuck to the speaker and..............you`re picking metal needles out of your hand for at least a week. Maybe two.

It seemed like anything and everything one used in the field at the time for installation, had those same metal shavings stuck to them. I don`t miss audio at all.

Cactus Diver will probably be picking those thorns out of his A~Z for weeks.

That very well could happen. I stumbled into a similar cholla type cactus once when lost at night in the desrt mountains. I had spines all over me. I was pulling some out MONTHS later. Mind you...I have no where NEAR the impact that this guy did.

I can't even imagine.
