Why are they making it a constitutional amendment? Ohio did the same damn thing when we "legalized" casinos, and it irritated the hell out of me. That shit doesn't belong in a state's constitution. But whatever, I guess. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

What's the over/under of it passing? Last poll I saw had it at 62% passing, but an amendment needs 60% to pass. Why are they making it a constitutional amendment? Because its FL and we do silly shit, we once had an amendment to our state constitution to have a high speed rail trains, then another amendment to get rid of it. |

Link to the ballot measure/initiative/proposition/whatever? View Quote Ya most likely it just adds more penalties and crimes for your newly legal drug. What's your states new marijuana DUI law that inevitably goes with it etc. Any idea what you actually voted for? Most people in Wa state had no clue. |

Expect an increase in homeless. BTW, thank you, we need to get those dopers out of Colorado. View Quote Yeah, that is going to be a downside. We already get all the scumbags from the other 56 [sic] states because of our weather, legalish pot will really bring them down. Oh well, still would rather have freedom. |

We like to constitutional amend a lot of silliness. It's a way the people themselves get to vote on stuff, bypassing the legislation put there by the people to vote on stuff.

Why do liberal potheads hate tobacco?
They feel that people should be "free" to smoke weed. But they whine and complain when someone lights up a Marlboro 100ft away, or puts some Skoal in their mouth.

I dont smoke it. I will vote yes to this because its a vote for freedom. I look at close to, but not equal to my right to buy 30 round magazine. People should be free to make their own choice, I just hope they understand that choice they are making. Now tax that shit and fix my roads...LOL
I am conflicted about the poor people who get the medical cards in my state and others or pay with CC in CO and WA, dont they understand that they are giving up their 2nd ammendment rights the min it becomes tracable and filled into data banks? I would not put it past any progressive to take away your 2nd amendment rights based on your federal mandated paper work disparities. |

I heard a story on the radio yesterday where the president of the sheriff's association was being interviewed about all the local ballot measures to legalize possession in various towns and cites in Michigan, and in addition to his usual "the sky will fall" type predictions, he also said "local governments that implement or change laws to legalize marijuana will be considered co-conspirators in a federal crime". He sounded very threatening.
