I like Kid Rock. I don't care for his music since he went country, but this video is awesome. Regardless what anyone's personal feelings toward him are, he was a miracle for the guy in the vid. Very cool!

Anyone that gets in a brawl in a Waffle House is good to go in my book!!

Yeah, all reports are he is a stand up guy. Good to see. And one of "us." I am not a huge fan of his music by any stretch, but he has talent, is a good guy, and leans conservative. He is A OK in my book. This, that was cool to see. |

Also, there was this:
KID ROCK BUYS SOLDIER’S FAMILY A NEW HOME Macomb Township — Army Sgt. Davin Dumar gave a lot to his country and people like Kid Rock wanted to thank him. On Saturday in Macomb Township, Kid Rock joined Dan Wallrath, founder of Operation Finally Home, and representatives of the Pulte Group to present Dumar and his wife Dana, with a free new home. Rock and members of the Dumar family waited inside a Pulte Homes model home to surprise the young Mount Clemens couple. As they waited quietly for the couple to enter, Rock joked, “Don’t anybody screw this up and say happy birthday.” Dumar and his wife were shocked to see Rock, their family and the media waiting in the living room of the model home. As the couple entered, the crowd listened quietly as just before entering the Dumars told the Pulte Homes representative they liked the location because it was close to family. They are going to be starting a family soon and would be needing babysitters, the couple said. When they entered the living room Rock and others clapped. Rock told Dumar they were chosen to receive a new home built especially for them. “We are all grateful for your service to our country,” said Rock. He's OK in my book. |

I think he showed up overseas, with Robin Williams and Gary Sinise, on every one of my trips over there. So yeah, I think he's a stand up guy!

Nice thing to do for the guy. I think it will be hard for him to top this birthday.
Kid Rock seems like a stand up guy. |

The guy is a class act, love or hate his music.
"Kid Rock will perform to aid the families of the victims aboard the USS Cole, which was bombed in a terrorist attack on Oct. 12. Rock will donate the proceeds from his Jan. 21 show at the Scope in Norfolk, Va. -- home to the largest naval base in the country -- to the Navy Marine Corp Relief Society. The organization will direct the funds to help out the families of the crew members killed in the attack." "The Detroit rocker was touched when he heard that the crewmembers on the Cole blasted his "American Bad Ass" on the ship's PA system, right after they played the requisite national anthem as the ship departed from Yemen." http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/kid-rock-show-to-honor-uss-cole-20001215 |

This is now a Kid Rock feel good/appreciation thread. Keep 'em coming.

His face when he saw who was arriving with his cake was priceless. Absolutely priceless.
He's stoked about being thirty and can't wait until he turns forty. That's a good way to be, rock on little brother. |

Good on kid rock. It seems that he is a pretty stand up guy and pretty genuine. Again, good on him and good for him.
|
|
Kid Rock is badass dude, nice to see him giving back so freely.....
|
|
His music is 'meh,' but he seems like a very righteous dude.

I've never owned any of his albums, but I liked him in Joe Dirt. He seems like a top notch dude, and genuine. Just sitting there talking to that guy like a human being probably meant the world to him. When most celebrities do this sort of thing, they are sure to have a full camera crew and make-up artist before hand. He and his bandmates just wanted to make the guys day, and that's badass.

We had a young man in the town we moved from that had Down's Syndrome, his mom owned a pet grooming place and he worked in there bathing dogs... I was in there one day and he was bathing a pooch (under supervision, mom was in the room) I have never seen someone that was as gentle and did such a thorough job as he did. He was in heaven just being useful, he was talking to the dog he was bathing and the dog was being super still and just absorbing all the loving he was getting.

I don't really listen to him, just not my thing that being said I can respect him for stuff like this.
Stand up guy. |
|
|
He is an all American Badass. He owns some restaurants and live here and it's a regular occurrence to run into him it seems. I have yet to run into him but from what everyone usually says about him makes him sound like a good well grounded guy.

I had some beers with him. He's a very cool guy that really hasn't let fame go to his head.
Just a regular guy with a black AmEx. |
|
Nvm. Kind of a horrible thing for me to say.

Awesome.
I had no idea how much talent he had until I saw him in concert. He played every instrument on that stage with authority. |
|
He is a good guy! Not always on our side but a cool dude nonetheless .
|
|
That was cool! Reading the posts here, Kid Rock is a stand up guy in my book!
