RIP Jack.
He told some interesting stories of the old days.

First LP I ever bought was "Disraeli Gears"
I heard "Sunshine of Your Love" on KOMA 1520 OKC and became an Instant Addict of all things Cream!

RIP to a unique bass player.

His playing style is what I try to emulate. Active and full without being showy.

RIP

However, I will say there is fire and energy in this video unlike the 2005 concert....

I just heard about this today.

71 isn't a terribly bad run considering, but it still seems too early. He'll be missed.

A lot of "fast livin'" with that generation.

No rhyme or reason to it. Look at the founding members of "The 27 Club". Then you have your Bakers, Richards, etc.

Damn, love Cream. The album he did with Robin Trower, Seven Moons, was great. Had a great rock/blue voice. He will be missed.

I have been a fan of Cream since the 80s and was so excited when I heard about the reunion in 2005, though I didn't get to any of the shows.

One of my favorites that he wrote and sung:
