Great pic, just had to share.  We are sleeping out under the Milky Way tonight, my 3 boys and I.  Their sister is having a sleepover for 10yo girls, so we practice our bogout.

He also got to shoot for the first time today!!  CZ 455 is a great starter rifle

My son already informed me he's going to find a few rhinos.  To tell the truth if we did see John McCain broken down up here it would be the highlight of my week to leave him.  I'd thank him for his pre-1980 service to our country of course....  Then ditch him.

On top of Skyline Drive in Sanpete.  We live in Mt. Pleasant so it's only a 20 minute drive or so from home, but we are as high as we can get sleeping right on the ridge line.  I'm pretty sure we'll all stay warm, my dingbat 15yo brought a summer sleeping bag instead of the 4-part military bag I bought him.

The Milky Way is awesome tonight, but my low-light iPhone camera skills are pretty poor.

We got a skiff Monday and we still find some in the shady spots.  I imagine we'll hit the mid-20's up here tonight.  12yo son is sleeping on a pile of straw in a milsurp bag, the rest of us are on an old futon mattress.

We don't need no stinking tents for just mid-20's!!

9400 in Ideeho?  Where were you?  I lived in Moscow till I was 5, then Boise till I was 7.  Three of my great grandparents settled the Twin Falls area. So at one time I was probably a relative of half the town.

I have 7 kids.  This one is my favorite.  Is that kosher?

He came out of the womb swinging, giving orders and fixing (ahem) problems.  Looking forward to the next 40 years or so!

Good times.

Tomorrow night I'll either be holed up in my truck, somewhere in the middle of a snow storm... or in my buddies cabin watching TV. All depends on if he's shot a deer tonight, or tomorrow, before I get there. I'm going hunting Sunday morning... it's supposed to snow. I've got my fingers crossed. If I'm in my truck, it'll be a cold camp, I'm not taking a stove.

Stay warm!

As long as you're not doing the fish kish face after getting out of a tanning bed, selfies are acceptable.

I've already been called Ned Flander in this thread.  I'm going to be done with selfies for a while, lol.  And a tanning bed won't do me any good, I've never had a tan that didn't wash off at the end of the day.  Hence the Ned comparison.

Not that I was in danger of fish-facing a few pictures anyway.
