Not surprising.

He looks like the kind of guy who would spend all his money on toys like trucks, Harleys, boats, transferables, etc, and not have much savings.

To date, I've never left any marks on backsides. But sometimes kids squirm. If I were to bruise one and someone were to see it, I could very well find myself in the same position as the family in the OP.

Sorry to hear about your ex's kid.

No children, but a girl friend had an abused 7 year old.  That was a treat.

Seen enough as a LEO, EMT, security guard, and dealt with these assholes enough as a jailer to have a firm opinion.

I don't really think I could be a parent.

Much respect for those who get their kids to 18 and a high school diploma!!

Me too. Raising kids anywhere near the government or people who lick government boots must be frustrating as hell.

I don't condone abuse, but  a spanking, when warranted, is not abuse. Problem is everyone has an opinion and is in everyone's business now days.

Like others said, not abuse IMO. I look at my neices and see that "timeouts" just don't work. My brother and I were spanked; wooden spoons, spatulas, hands, etc. and I know I deserved it. My mom would go straight for the dish detergent if I cursed , my mouth was extra clean some days at least. Now a days you can't spank your kids without being demonized but my wife and I run our house, not the kids and not outsiders .

Pretty much, the girl has always had pretty bad acne...you could see it even under the pancake makeup.

As to the spanking, I had bruises from school spankings.  Those teachers would be in prison these days.

The orange matchbox tracks were the worst. Holy Shit.  My mom was a banshee with those things.  Makes my ass hurt just thinking about it.  Mom usually used a yard stick and Dad used open hand or if we really fucked up the belt.  My brother and I were big for our ages and deserved every spanking we got and more for things we didn't get caught at.  Looking back I'm glad my parents kicked my ass when I needed it or I'd be worthless today instead of a productive member of society.

Yeah. I said "damn" at age fourteen. What a hellion.

At that age I was done taking any abuse because from people who were frustrated with their lives and had to lash out. If my Dad had been there he might have gotten a worse reaction.

Obviously you don't get it "Damn" is not the issue bowing up to your smaller mother is the issue that you needed immediate negative reinforcement for..

your post proves my point quite well
it screams special snowflake with a dash of oh my we got a badadss overhere
Was I able to overcome my mother when a teen sure , would I hell NO out of respect primarily and secondary if I dared to try and get physical with my mom my dad would have ensured I never had such a thought again, but I was raised in a loving structured environment where both parents were actively involved in my life.
I am sorry you appear to have not gotten much guidance in your younger life and your father was absent

Your outlook reminds me of a youth I encountered in a store a few years ago:
Kid was about my size I am guessing 12-14 in age , being a general ass in the store his mom asked him to stop and he responded by saying bitch and striking her closed handed in the face, he appeared to be contemplating striking his downed crying mother again when I grabbed his hand and then picked him and "placed" him against a wall and informed him that I didn't give a fuck how he acted in private but in public that behavior was unacceptable. for a brief moment that little fucker had some respect

I got the hand until I started laughing  about it.  Then my mom got a walking stick in the corner.  It broke.  I laughed more.  My dad came home that night and I got the belt for the first time. Holy fuck!!!!  That was an attitude changer.

I prob got belted 10 or less times as a kid and now at 30 I look back and agree I deserved it when I got it and am thankful my parents kept me walking a straight line.

It's amazing you can infer what my childhood was like by a couple short posts. Save your self righteous comments for someone who gives a shit. Knocking someone's hand away is "bowing up?" I don't even know what that means.
