i just started piecing mine together.. never built or shot one before, im hoping they are as much fun as they look. how do you enjoy yours compared to other guns in the safe?

I dont have one, but have shot a couple... personal opinion is that for close quarter combat they are great... but for anything else they just create empty cases. Oh and they tend to be fucking loud! YMMV.

I do. SigBrace is awesome. You will see the beauty of the 10.5 barrel

Really don't care about mine. Was super excited when I built it, took it out shooting once 2 years ago and it's collected dust since. It was having feeding issues as well.
Now you put a sig brace on it and it'll be a bit more fun.

I liked mine okay back when we could not have SBRs here.
It hasn't seen the light of day once since we got that law changed and I registered some SBRs. |

Sig Brace is mandatory imho and I have never shot a pistol version. Carbine class awhile ago instructor had a 10.5 sig braced pistol.
He showed us the moves waving around that pistol like nothing. While I struggled with my stock 16" WM blem 6920. |

Not yet. I'm still under 1,000 rounds through it though. Hits on IPSC torso sized steel targets at 100 yards are easy. It used to be the AR I had the most fun shooting, but it's been supplanted as of this week. New favorite: |

Yup - my 10.5 with SIG brace is my favorite blaster. Big fireball, big noise, big fun! Wear ear pro...

I have one, it's a nice thing to have in a state that allows pistols to be loaded in vehicle. So that's why I have one. Vehicle gun.

I really like mine, 7 inch barrel and a 10.5 barrel, sig braces on both also a 14.5 that gets on them once in a while fun shooting very accurate kak tube is real good and the shims they sell work great favorite trunk gun now

I got the pistol itch at the moment and I want to put one together as a truck gun.

Here n Maine , a loaded rifle is a no-go , but with your CCW you can keep your loaded AK or AR pistol in the cab . They make great truck-guns . I had an AR pistol , but I needed cash and sold her , and now use a pistol that I built from an AMD-65 kit on an OOW receiver . I dont think Ill put a brace on her either , but instead build another AR pistol . The parts are about as cheap as you could expect them to get now. |

If you go .223 I wouldn't recommend anything shorter than 10.5 unless you want it purely for fun. I converted mine to 300blk because of this. Then I had a barrel laying around...
DSC09885A by Chrazy-Chris, on Flickr I second the KAK brace suggestion. I wish I would've gone with one. I thought the fully "collapsed" length would be okay but it was way too short. Now I have a stretched out sig brace that slips down slowly with shooting. |

i have three and im building a fourth.
.22 with 4.5" barrel and no buffer tube 5.56 with 7.5" barrel and thordsen/caa 7.62x39 with 7.5" barrel and sig brace working on 5.56 with 10.5" barrel and sig brace |

I had one previously but my eform 1 for SBR came back in 35 days. So now I have an SBR.

Well Ive currently got all the components minus a bcg to build a 8" 300bk upper w/sig brace.
Does that count? I really need to stop being lazy and put that thing together. |

I have the MI tube which is awesome partnered with the Sig brace. I'm tall and the extra LOP is great.

I have a pistol, it's fucking great. I have to say i love the idea of the sig brace but i don't like mine, so I just said fuck it and filled out a form one. been waiting just over a month. OP do it... they are fun. and loud. I have got the stink eye and sarcastic comments from the older asshats at the range I go to though.

I did. Then it graduated and became an sbr. So much fun to shoot a 10.5 inch barrel with dual chamber brake. Not so much standing next to it at the range. Sorry in advance all you old timers and i hope you doubled up on your ear pro lol.

Have a 7.5" in 5.56. It's a lot of fun to shoot.
More than just fireball, holy concussion! Gives me a headache if I put too many mags through it, also hand guard heats up REAL fast if you go all rapid fire. Two mag dumps in a row and you cant handle it without gloves. Did have to use an adj gas block to get it to cycle correctly. I will prob use an adj GB on anything I build from now on, quite a few good quality affordable units out there and its nice to have the option. I think a 7.5 barrel is really a toy, even with a sig brace. I think you have to move up to at least a 10" barrel to consider using one for anything other than just range toys. |
