I bought a couple of these last year , the price is right.
For my needs which really means I don't need it - it's perfect.

I have a system that is exactly as you described but can't remember from where I bought it. Been many years. Will pull it out tomorrow and inspect for a trademark or other identifying info.

A .50 caliber ammo can, sitting on top of a bunch of loose WPA steel cased rounds.

i bought several bags like that when they were in the webstore here, not sold anymore sadly from what I can see. They were knockoffs of this: http://www.511tactical.com/bail-out-bag.html

Holds 6 AR mags, plus a main pouch for stuff, with a shoulder strap. Since the knockoff isnt available anymore, the 5.11 may be your best bet, although a little pricey for the size.

try the US peacekeeper rapid deployment bag... I got one for a friend who's a cop for her patrol rifle. holds like 4 mags, a blow out kit, extra pistol mags, a flashlight, zip ties... you can configure it to what you need.

Well that's good to know.
I consider buying that pmag 10 pack deal and a couple more of the bags and make up some panic buy kits for the next scare.
I only have the usgi metal mags and those fit nicely without a big investment for a Sunday shooter.

I have a grey ghost chest rig that'll hold six, but I never use it.
For range day I just toss them in my backpack, main compartment if access is no issue, big pocket with dividers for four of them and room for more loose if I don't want to dig to get to them.
For competitions I use a couple pouches on a drop leg platform, can accomidate 2-4, not near ideal but good enough for my slow ass, could get three double pouches on there but that's a lot of weight swinging.

I stocked up on those knockoffs, they were like 20 bucks so I bought 3

They work great, and I'm sure the 5.11 version is even better. I have a few 5.11 bags that I really like.

I kinda wanted a sneaky bag or the one that Suarez had for a while that held like 4 AR/AK mags and pistol mags along with space for EDC stuff. It's more of a truck/grab-n-go bag.

Why not use a MOLLE bandolier?  They have Woodland, DCU and ACU patterns and each holds 6 magazines.

I don't care if the DELTSEALRANGER gods jizzed on every one, that is still a fucking stupid ass design.  Did anyone involved in the making of that fuck up put the prototype on and try and reach for the second and third puches? Fucking retarded.

That shit either needs to be a chest rig, satchel like set-up over the shoulder, or a belt/pouch rig. They tried two out of the three and fucked it up.
