During a recent thread involving taco body percentage someone brought up a thing that I had never even thought of.  Bacon feeding a woman to a decent percentage then porking her.

Lets think about this.  ISIS hates pigs and pig product.  I live in the state with the largest hog confinement capabilities according to some chick on tinder.  This is a win win for Iowans and really any good american that likes bacon, sexual intercourse and also dislikes terrorists.

Then I began shopping around for a real bacony experience but jesus pig is expensive.  How much is pig in your area?  Do you think it is worth relocating for some kind of bacon blow out sexual experience?  Is any state well known for its deep love of bacon...I know all of them do except for Connecticut which is apparently really into syrup but not bacon....lame

how much does bacon cost where you live and how much do you keep in reserve.  Do you find women eating bacon to be sexy and if so would you like to tell us all about it?

COC2 is in effect here.

But if bacon prices are too low, thousands of pig farmers will go out of business.   You should embrace high bacon prices.
Now go skim through this thread.

I've never even looked at the price of bacon.  It doesn't matter.  It's like air.

I try to keep it in reserve, but I just can't stop eating it. It's 5.99 a lb here now.

ETA: True story, I had a blt yesterday with 8 pieces of bacon on it.

7 bucks for a pound of the store brand here

I've looked at three different stores recently, and bacon ran from $8-$10 a pound. I quit buying it. It's too expensive, and the calorie count is wicked high.

$2.99 a pound for Bacon is too easy to find. I am blessed to live in the chosen land for bacon consumers... added benefit? It smells like pigs too!

it's a conspiracy. no reason for bacon to be so expensive:

- 1 billion muslims don't eat it
- 20 million jews don't eat it
- 1 billion Catholics aren't supposed to eat it on Fridays

so what's up. there should be plenty to go round. Illuminati? Aliens?

Best stock up. buy it cheap, stack it deep.

when I used to live in Canada, they had canned bacon. that's the stuff.

There was that virus going around that was killing off all the baby pigs. That plus the drought out west driving up feed costs is why bacon is too damn expensive.

Because demand outstrips supply. Pig is awesome. You should thank Jesus that those people can't eat it, we would be fighting Bacon War II, if not for those that sacrifice, so the rest of us can delight in hicory goodness.

Local grocery had 10 lbs for 22.90.  I bought it without blinking and broke it down and vac sealed it by the pound and froze.

It's up to 24.90 for the same box, but they've been out of stock for a couple weeks.

I just bought some today at Costco myself. I buy the thicker cut stuff that costs around $3+ lb

What I noticed costing more at Costco was their cooked frozen shrimp. I recall it always being around $12-13 a big package. Now the same package is $20

I keep about 5 lbs in the freezer at any one time.
I rotate it out, so when I see it on sale, I grab a few pounds and rotate the freezer stock.

no. I looked it up to make sure. "catholic-pages.com". "canon law still requires that catholics not eat meat on Friday". it goes on about exemptions if some holy day is a Friday.
apparently this canon law is honored mostly in the breach. kind of like the Pirate's Code- "they're more like guidelines, anyway"

We've gotten our own hogs butchered for years until last year.  Now I'm all out of locally processed bacon.  Thick Sliced Tyson Bacon was over 6.00 per pound last week at WM,
just at the same time I've become hooked on bacon bloody marys using bacon infused vodka.

Yoder's canned bacon: 213.57/case.

"Each case comes with the equivalent of 3 pounds of raw bacon. So this case would be about 36 pounds of bacon."
