$1 says the ink has nothing to do with not getting the job.
The guy smells of stupid. I can smell it from here.

Waste of oxygen.
I'd say there is more to his being jobless than the stupid tattoos. |

I'm an inky working in the IT field. The only visible ink I have is on my arms and I don't have to cover it up.

The guys from Blink182 are already unemployed? Well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Funyy story. Blink182 drummer kept getting pathological arm fractures from being a Vegan. His doctors told him to quit being a fag and to go back to eating meat. In the meantime, he’s focused on two things. First, he’s trying to strengthen his bones, which he said have grown weak due to his vegetarian diet. So, on doctor’s orders, he’s eating meat again (his first non-veg meal? A chicken taco from Wahoo’s, the SoCal taco chain he has a stake in). http://www.mtv.com/news/1542556/travis-barker-discusses-bad-break-road-to-recovery/ |

I wouldn't hire him just because he dresses like a moron. Anytime I see the flat brim hat I figure a guy's a moron. Deduct another 10 IQ points for the shirt.

I was lucky in that when I was a teenager and dressed like a retarded peacock, I had older friends that also dressed like retarded peacocks. I got to see the difficulties they faced in trying to get work and operate in adult society. It was enough to prevent me from doing anything that would serve as a permanent reminder of the follies of youth.

He's looking in the wrong sectors. If he's willing to climb I would probably give him $55K a year to start Monday. I'm prior airborne infantry, not too bright and not scared of heights. $55K you say? I'm listening, go on. Strap on 70 pounds of harness and tools. Climb up a cell tower and fix shit on top. Heights vary from 150-400' and the work is physically demanding, outdoors, all fuckin day long. You get to go out on the road and live in an Extended Stay type hotel room for 6-8 weeks at a time, work is 60-100 hours a week, we fly you anywhere in the US for your "time off" after your turn out and pay to get you back to the site, or a new one. It's a pretty cool gig, lots of neat technology (you have to be half smart to do it) and the ability to move up in the ranks starts immediately. Get good enough and we put you in a nice company truck, driving to sites to check on them for $120K a year. It's hard work but, it's not bad work. Money's good, no time to spend it. The only real downside is that you're on the road for weeks/months on end. It's hard as fuck on a family. Great job for single guys who like to be outdoors and the "brotherhood" feeling of a tight knit crew. 55k... to be on the road and working 60-100 hrs per week? And you are having a problem filling the position. You don't say. I didn't say it was good money if you have options. FWIW, that's the starting wage for kids with no professional or industry experience. The money gets much better and the work gets much easier fairly quickly. ETA: The 55K is starting pay at 60 hours per week. You'd nearly double it if you were doing 100 hours per week (and many of our guys do). |

Plenty of jobs for him: gas station, record store, and the list goes on
