Well those two obviously look very different. But 737,747,707 etc etc etc all look alike to me.

I'm also scared of flying so I'm sure that has something to do with it.

The 747 is the Queen of the Skies, for sure.
But I do love the 787 and 727. And I've always been partial to the 757. With that narrow body with the big engines hanging off the wings, one pilot described it as a slim woman with big tits.

And let's not forget the not-to-be Sonic Cruiser.

I worked a few years back at a major airport as a Ramp Agent loading up 747, 777, and the new Quantas A380 when it started with Quantas.

But believe the most beautiful (commercial) AC is the 777

Maybe I am biased by being from the 747's birthplace and its manufacturing program providing half of our household income, but this is the one commercial airplane that I always pause to watch when I see one flying above. Not quite sure what it is about it, but in my opinion it is an impressive, beautiful machine, even in the twilight of its manufacturing life. It's easy to appreciate why it was nicknamed the "Queen of the skies".

When I stand close to one it always amazes me that the thing can actually fly.  I think that it is said that the Wright Brother's first flight was less than the length of a 747.

So versatile it can haul a spare spaceship.

I will put in a vote for the 757 with winglets.

I dunno about piloting, but I like passengering in the 747 more than any other plane.  Seems to have the best "ride."  Smoooooth and quiet.

There's a reason that the Lockheed Connie/Super Connies are nicknamed the puking lizard.

Luckily Lockheed hit one out of the park with the L-1011.  BTW there were some Saturn V parts integrated into the L-1011.

The 727 is a close second.

The 747 is a distant third.

747 is definitely a neato plane, but most graceful and elegant appearance? Connie for sure. Come on man, it looks like a flying dolphin. Can't beat that.

THIS! Constellation is the most elegant and sexy commercial airliner ever made. DC3 is not far behind.

In the jet age I would have to go with the 707.

The Comet got a bad rap (breaking in flight will do that to a plane) but the completely hidden engines make that look.

Triple Seven FTW. FIL is a 777 captain for Delta. After he made the transition from 75/767 to the 777 I asked what he thought about it. He just smiled and said it was the best.

It is not that new cannot be elegant, I just do not see the 787 as having achieved the same level of it as the comparatively dignified 747.

One of my favorite airplanes

We were supposed to fly on a 747 for our honeymoon in Hawaii.  We had a nonstop flight from Atlanta to Honolulu.  I was so excited!  Then at the last minute stupid Delta airlines changes it to a freaking Airbus 330.  I was so pissed!
