Honestly they all kinda look alike to me. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-C_z9nxO4XsU/TtTJgZpEtDI/AAAAAAAAG8A/VDu4CV3vjFE/s1600/douglas_dc3.jpg http://cdn.hdwallpaperspics.com/uploads/2012/12/Concorde_01_1024x768_.jpg ...............................................wat. Well those two obviously look very different. But 737,747,707 etc etc etc all look alike to me. I'm also scared of flying so I'm sure that has something to do with it. |

The 747 is the Queen of the Skies, for sure.
But I do love the 787 and 727. And I've always been partial to the 757. With that narrow body with the big engines hanging off the wings, one pilot described it as a slim woman with big tits. And let's not forget the not-to-be Sonic Cruiser. |

I worked a few years back at a major airport as a Ramp Agent loading up 747, 777, and the new Quantas A380 when it started with Quantas.
But believe the most beautiful (commercial) AC is the 777 |

Maybe I am biased by being from the 747's birthplace and its manufacturing program providing half of our household income, but this is the one commercial airplane that I always pause to watch when I see one flying above. Not quite sure what it is about it, but in my opinion it is an impressive, beautiful machine, even in the twilight of its manufacturing life. It's easy to appreciate why it was nicknamed the "Queen of the skies". http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/SD70MAC/747-8/LONGLIVETHEQUEEN.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/SD70MAC/747-8/747-8Intercontinental02.jpg P51 Mustang much? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/SD70MAC/747-8/lg_7474142.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v79/SD70MAC/747-8/MVC-008F.jpg View Quote |

not to knock the 747, but i have to give the 707 the nod for pure airliner grace. A classic indeed. I always ask people, would you buy a French car? |

747 is definitely a neato plane, but most graceful and elegant appearance? Connie for sure. Come on man, it looks like a flying dolphin. Can't beat that.

Constellation is the most elegant and sexy commercial airliner ever made. DC3 is not far behind. In the jet age I would have to go with the 707. |

Plenty of different airliners to satisfy most appetites. Definitely some white knuckle moments for some passengers I bet.
Watch full screen HD for full effect EDIT: Just realized this was post 556. Just so happens to be about the typical cruising speed of a modern jet airliner |

Triple Seven FTW. FIL is a 777 captain for Delta. After he made the transition from 75/767 to the 777 I asked what he thought about it. He just smiled and said it was the best.

If I may use car terms...
I love the "Big Block 454" look of the DC-10 I love the "rear wheel drive" of the DC-9 And I love the stance of the 757 |

Most airplanes are superb art. The BAC 111 was one of the prettiest, especially in the Mohawk livery, the one with gold trim.
