Jeez.  That's tough.

There's some bolt guns out there i'd probably never be able to afford, or justify spending 8K+ on....
An M4/16 with giggle switch would be up there.  I could set it up any way i want afterall.
Lots of belt-feds i could be happy with too.
P90s, MP-5s, FA Kriss
I could go on and on....

In the end, i don't think many on Arf could make it out without their head exploding.

MK19 or Mini Gun or 40mm Bofors twin mount.  Have to sleep on it.  Leaning toward the mini gun.

Assuming getting spare parts is a non-issue; I would say a HK 417. A close second being a Knights LMG.

Glock 19, because it always have to go bang when I pull the trigger.

If I were making a pile from which to choose after I narrow my choices down, that would be one of them.

And you can only choose 1 , which one do you choose and why? There are no restrictions , no gun laws , and you get a lifetimes supply of ammo to run the firearm so ammo cost is not a factor. The firearm you choose will be the last firearm you ever own and is subject to failure , I mean this is the real world not fantasy people!

You can add any attachments to the firearm you choose to get the most out of it and to best suit your needs.

I honestly don't know what I would choose that's why I made this thread for ideas!

Glock 18. I can use it in semi auto for ccw or use a RONI kit to make it into a pdw. I could even convert it to .40, 357 sig or 22lr if I needed to.  Pluss you can use anything from a ban era 10 round mag to a 33 round factory mag or a 100 round beta mag.

That's a good choice!! As for me I would probably go the M4 route either that or a variant of a modern belt fed light machine gun just for shits and giggles and how else do you burn through 400 rounds of ammo in 5 minutes?

The practical side of me says M16 due to the amount of uppers in so many different calibers that are available for it.

But I really want to say MP5SD

well, if i just got the gun. ( with no restrictions) it would go like this.

1. i want the surviving .45 luger prototype.
2. sell protype for $1 million plus bucks.
3. pay off my land. $90k
4. build a sweet home/ mini farm, bol there and equip it oh. $300k max
5. buy class 3 weapons. mp5's, m16's, g-18's,  night vision, ammo, etc.  $200k
6. put approx $400k in the bank, and buy something cool every now and again, shoot deer, and have a veg garden.

winning.
Great minds think alike.

While many exotic choices sound good, in the end you need something portable that can be carried.

Sooooo pistol, or rifle/MG and not a M2 that while awesome, can't really be carried now can it?

I would think a accurate, suppressed, LMG (select fire) would be the answer. Something you could have an optic and fire single shot long range, full auto up close, and maybe not conceal, but at least carry easily.

Has anyone who's choosing MP5 variants actually ever shot an MP5 variant?

I've shot several, in various configs (auto, suppressed, both) and found it to be pretty underwhelming.

In all honesty I would probably just keep it simple.

HK416/PWS MK110/SBR KAC rifle

With EOtech, magnifier, suppressor, peq15, surefire.

Or

Won't do you a lick of good without any other guns.  I'd choose a minigun mounted in a turret of an airconditioned MRAP.
