Not my favorite, but one I really like a lot.  This is my Colt Model 605 build, using NoDak Spud lower, original 1963 or earlier Colt chrome bolt carrier, take-off ban era bubba'd SP-1 barrel and no forge flash FSB, Type D stock, SP-1 handguards, transitional bakelite-glass nylon compound "mottled" pistol grip.  It runs well on XM193.

I can't ever decide if I want to build a lightweight dissy or an lightweight 20" ....dammit Nova, I was leaning towards the 20.

I thought I was going to build a 20" next too, until I saw this upper on sale.

The stainless version is going for an even more outrageous price right now...just sayin.

Oh it is tempting...but I am not sold on their Freedom barrels.

The stainless one works fine. It is heavy though.

It needs a little stubby bayonet.

I like the look of a fixed stock with a rifle length handguard.
