You can buy a NEW Loaded Quad Cab, 4x4 XLT Package Ford F-150 for $28K Total bullshit. Considering starting MSRP on an XLT is $30k and add 6.5k to that if want a crew.... and that is only a 4x2 (you gotta add 3400 for that). MSRP on just your XLT, Cab, and drive.. you're at $40,260 I didn't even add "FULLY loaded" which is a hair over 50k. exactly....28k seems a bit of a stretch. Look up. I stand corrected. |

I learned yesterday that $25-$35k even for a 3 year old trucks buys you cloth seats and a shitty plastic interior. Oh you want leather seats and your cheap plastics wrapped in cheap leather? That will be another $5k -$10k. All the manufactures have 6 different trim options and generally only top two trim levels get you what I would consider a half way good interior. Did we take a step back here? 10 years ago I bought my wife a 01 tahoe LT for $20k with the top trim level and they had 3 trim levels at most. I feel like just about every truck we looked at had cloth seats. What's with the ford interiors on the f150? One of the higher trim levels had the same exact plastics and the same location of those plastics as the lower trim levels, that's pretty f'd up. Ecoboost engine was AWESOME though, made the truck so much smoother and quieter, basically it felt more refined then all the other trucks we looked at cause of that engine. The 5.0 engine was loud and felt weak, you guys who dog the ecoboost and talk up the 5.0 are cray cray. Dodge trucks were just bla, nothing special at all. I can't believe they even offer that 4.7 V8, so fucking weak they shoukd be ashamed. Honeslty the best truck we looked at was a bro-dozed 2013 LT silverado, interior was bland like the rest but the truck looked good so it had the extra edge and the 5.3 is a solid engine that I'm familiar with. If I coukd have my way I'd take the chevy, change the price tag to dodge levels and put the ecoboost ford engine in it. why are you buying a truck? I drive fast cars, wife has had same SUV for 10 years and wants a truck. I personally hate trucks if you want to know the truth. Not really the point anyways. For the price they're commanding, they should be loaded down. You might be ok with spending $30k+ for a cloth and plastic interior so you can show the world how manly you are but for me it's about money and what you get for your money. So you don't need a truck? Your wife just wants one to have a truck and you might haul one 2x4 a year? Great, here we go again.... Do you ever go to war? So you don't need an AR15? You just want one to shoot at paper every now and then? Great, here we go again..... God forbid that in America, someone drives the vehicle they want to. |

This is what a man's truck interior looks like. http://www.silveradosierra.com/gallery/image.php?mode=medium&album_id=369&image_id=1307 And can tow 5,000lbs.. if that... I think stock 3/4 ton C-20s were rated at just north of 10k lbs originally. Stock 402BBC was rated at 400 ftlbs... Of course, its pretty unlikely that anyone using one as a dedicated tow rig left the stock motor in it. |

Nice scores! Did you delete the DPF on your 6.4? If not any issues with it making oil? To the other guy asking I paid $18k. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

As was I. The truck that I showed in that picture was purchased in 2009, it's a 2008 MY with 13998 on the clock when I got the keys. At the time, it was a 62k + Tax / title / etc. MSRP truck. 14k miles on a diesel isn't anything. Up to 125k now and it runs better then ever. I paid 31800 out the door after everything for it at an auto auction. "Executive Demo" is mostly what they go by. I've bought lots of vehicles of different brands that were exactly that, executive demos. My sister drivers a loaded suburban that was one, my father drives a 2005 excursion limited that was one. Buying used off a lot or new off a lot is pretty idiotic unless you really need their financing or you're going to order something super special or want to trade in something. (we bought my mother's 2011 KR F150 black/tan off the local dealership, special ordered to her specs. We got ford X plan pricing + traded in my old F150.) To the other guy asking I paid $18k. Full delete (EGR / DPF / etc) at 21k miles. Spartan Tuner (Fellow forum member here - SpartanDieselTech) 4inch ceramic coated down pipe to 5 inch straight pipe out now. Kendall DXA 15w40 every 7000 miles. All fluids changed once a year (transmission / rears / anti-freeze / etc.) 0 issues. All fluids are sampled and tested. 125k miles, all clean samples and documented in a binder. I did install a Detroit TrueTrac locker in it, S&B Stage II airbox, Banks charged air cooler and dual steering stabilized. Extra spring in the rear for some heavy loads, all billenstein shocks. Was debating a leveling kit, but I'm worried that I'll be too tall for my goose neck cattle and equipment trailer. Had a brush guard on it... cheap go rhino or something. Broke, will replace it this year with a solid Ranch Hand one or the like. Once a year it goes in and gets all scratches & rust fixed. (Just did it while I was out elk hunting last week.) |

09 F-250 diesel, King Ranch, 88k, new tires, spotless interior, no rust. Less than half of what it blue books for. Just gotta look for the deals OP (And sometimes settle for a bright ass blue truck ) <a href="http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/pavelow164781/media/AB835A1A-41F7-4073-9BBC-EA7B2D4C8D3B_zpsrxahzcxl.jpg.html" target="_blank">http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/a531/pavelow164781/AB835A1A-41F7-4073-9BBC-EA7B2D4C8D3B_zpsrxahzcxl.jpg</a> King ranch edition in a solid color? That is not even a king ranch edition color? Sorry, that's not a king ranch edition. At all. Custom king ranch bruh Doesn't even have the badge on it. So it's not a KR. Edit: I daily drive a KR. Bought a 2008, in 2009 with 14k on the clock for 1/2 MSRP. Black/Tan, short bed F250. KR does come in solid colors now (not two tone). I just looked at a few Seeing as the powerstroke badge is gone as well, I would guess the came off for the repaint and didnt go back on. Some people take badges off because they don't like them as well. So to say it isnt a KR because the badge is gone isn't necessarily true. It would be easy to find out with the vin number though Makes you wonder why someone would repaint (was it wrecked) |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: I learned yesterday that $25-$35k even for a 3 year old trucks buys you cloth seats and a shitty plastic interior. Sigh, pretty much. The truck is on a salvage title due to a theft recovery. Bed and seats were taken out. King Ranch seats were put back in and a non king ranch bed was out back on. Is it a "King Ranch" as it sits now? No, but it was built as one. Would you like pictures of the 6 door excursion he built out of an excursion and F-250? We can argue about whether or not it is an F-250 or Excursion What I was trying to get across to the OP is damn good deals can be had if you look around. Just be very careful if you buy something on a salvage title. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

So he removed and replaced the F250 badge up front that the KR badge should be right under? And replaced all the tan plastic trim with black trim on the bumpers and such? Then painted over the KR paint with blue? Went over the KR fender flares with cheapo plastic ones? Doesn't have the KR tail gate either, so he replaced that too? Interior pics or gtfo. At that point in time, after painting the entire truck and everything else, you'd be better off ordering the color truck of choice then replacing the interior of it with KR leather. I can keep going on with why that's not a KR edition, I have 3. I daily drive this one: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/254940858/truck4.jpg What I was trying to get across to the OP is damn good deals can be had if you look around. I was playing around with the ford build your own truck applet or what ever a few weeks ago and was able to price out a new f250 at $89k

Just searched autostart.com in my area for a Chevy 1500. I don't know what's wrong with the site but new 2014 and 2015 trucks start at about $80k and go to $3.4mil. Multiple dealerships listing for these prices. |
