as a person that came to this country the legal way anytime I hear the word amnesty I have to puke.

I am proud to have become an a American and to see that a President is planning to hand out cards like candy just pisses me of.

What happened to our system of checks and balances? If a white republican was doing this much without the approval of congress he would be impeached. Regardless of who the next president is congress needs to reassert themselves to start keeping presidents in check and working within the system. There also needs to be more limits on executive actions and have those limits clearly defined.

They exist already. Executive actions were meant to allow the Pres to define how the executive branch was run. They were never intended to be used to write law, nor affect anyone outside the executive branch. This is a good example why the Dept of Ed, energy, health and human services, ad nauseam, are UN-Constitutinal. There is nothing in the Constitution that allows the CONgress to abdicate its law writing authority.

Well, to be fair , he basically did that. His precedent is set, anytime they want, the pres can legalize anybody they so choose.
