If I had known about ARFCOM years ago I could have saved a ton of money, time, and hassle by making smarter purchasing decisions when buying guns.

My girlfriend and I are planning to buy a jetski in the near future. I've ridden jetskis many times, but I've never bought one. I'm looking for the boating/jetski equivalent of ARFCOM so that I can get some good buying advice (how to get the lowest price, good accessories, etc.). Does anybody know where to look?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Obligatory photos of girlfriend unit...... she's lost 10 pounds since these photos were taken.

Does not compute.

The ARFCOM equivalent of anything is just a bunch of dudes making crude jokes and trolling each other.

She is a Redhead and will be a crispy critter in about five minutes out on the water, even wearing sun block 87.

Buy used, they are all pretty easy to work on, SeaDoo is what we had.

This is my Yamaha FZR, 370 horsepower 4-stroke, supercharged, 22 psi SC wheel, 2.0 liter...0-60 in 3.2 seconds...91 mph.

This is my race ski but I ride it almost every weekend..it has been heavily modified but it is bullet-proof. Most of the new 4-strokes are very reliable and are a lot of fun. Plus, they are cheaper to operate and maintain than a boat.

Ask me any questions you would like to about jetskis in general..I have owned/raced/had fun with them since 1994.

This is me racing and winning, starting @ the :48  mark. I am the #2 ski whipping the reigning National Champion from 2012. We are hitting close to 90 mph in the 1/8 mile course. The World record top speed on jetskis is 106mph. I was there when it happened too!

There is a fellow on here that does deep sea/long distance fishing on his Jet Ski.
I've seen pics on here of him pulling in some impressive catches.

Great for Ocean riding but will get smoked by the Yamaha FZ series and the Sea Doo RXPx's. The Kawis do well in big waves but are extremely slower and harder to pull extra speed out without big $$$.

The Ultra is a biggggg ski comparative to others on the market.

Rent one when you want to ride or make friends with someone who owns one (or more).  Most folks who buy them don't ride them nearly as often as they think they will and they can be maintenance hogs.  When I lived on the local lake I had several friends who stored theirs at my place and I rode them more then they did, mostly just to keep the batteries charged, as I prefer a boat (also a maintenance pig).

Or a Yamaha FX cruiser, they are both great skis..I love my Yamahas because they have been good to me over the years. Plus, I have never, ever lost a race to a Sea Doo in competition or otherwise.

I have been collecting 96 Polaris skis with the Fuji 780 engines.

I have 5 now, only 4 of them run, only 3 of them are in the water.

I did add some ARFCOM approved nose art to the one with the most body damage.
