Bumblefuck ninkumpoops who drilled and tapped their Sako L461, L579, or L61R to mount shitty Weaver bases on top of the already perfect and far superior tapered dovetails on the receivers.
Here's an example. Way to go, cuntface. You managed to get your shittastic scope mounted to one of the finest bolt guns ever produced without resorting to spending the extra money for the correct bases. Good luck with your sale, jackfuck. I wonder why you don't include the frayed bit of twine you use for a sling, perhaps it's doing double duty as your belt this week. |

The glock "work" is of course dangerous and stupid on many levels but it doesn't bother me because the things are still being made so the only person hurt is the guy who owned it who turned a gun worth $500+ with magazines into a very ugly parts pile worth almost nothing . The loss of value doesn't bother me much , the idiots are doing that to themselves for the most part , it is just a shame when something in short supply is destroyed |

The most unforgivable thing to do to a gun?
Other than the typical ruining of a collectible firearm, every single stippling job ever done to a Glock and others. I've only seen one "look" decent. It never adds any value to a single Glock and makes it nearly impossible to sell other than as parts. |

I knew a guy who filed on the sear of both a Ruger Redhawk and a Ruger SP101 trying to lighten the trigger pull, totally messed them up.

I just picked up a "sporterized" un-ground, Jap Type 38 carbine. Not counting the fact that it was modified in the first place, whoever did it did a pretty nice job. The stock is nicely made and finished. The only modification to the metal is a bent bolt handle, no barrel cutting, no drilling and tapping, and no sights hacked off. The metal is in very good shape, will all markings present. It's in 6.5 Arisaka, and is a very light and handy carbine. |

The wood is mostly unique to it and is unobtainable; repros can be used but they're incredibly expensive. Same goes for the butchered rear sight. An unmessed with Mk. V is a $1000+ rifle. That sporterized wreck isn't worth $150. |

My favorite, as retold here several times, was the sandpapered and cold blued Singer M1911A1.
My father had a penchant for those zip-up cloth pistol cases, his S&W Combat Masterpiece rusted up pretty bad in one. That's all I can think of at the moment. |

replace the stock furniture with FDE, or burnt (insert color) the entire gun. Then there's the AR stocks on AK crowd. You want a 30 cal to look like an AR, buy a blackout upper.
