And, what counts as a scalp? At first thought, given the straight edge of a knife and curvature of the scull, one would think you'd get little more than a 2-3" wide strip of scalp. But then I realized if you grabbed the hair with enough force, one could really get most of the top of the head with one sweep of the blade. Remind me to shave my head for the coming race war. |

Well, there's a lip inside of the door opening, that the door itself seats over. As it sits, you can imagine it faces up, diagonally. It's maybe an inch and a half, two inches, and probably 1/8 inch thick. Dude's head, smacked from behind, gets shoved violently into the lip. It impacts about an inch below his hair line, and neatly half-scalps him. Like, trace a line about an inch from his hairline going around the curve of the skull, and terminating just a couple of inches aft of the temples. His scalp was peeled back all along that line, a loose flap of skin and hair that exposed what was under that area. So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you really want a big scalp for your collection, you need an F-15 and just a bit more force than gravity by itself gave that door. |

This got me thinking about how many scalps would fit in an empty IFAK pouch. And, what counts as a scalp? At first thought, given the straight edge of a knife and curvature of the scull, one would think you'd get little more than a 2-3" wide strip of scalp. This can give you a good 6, 7 inches of scalp. If you pull too hard too soon, you end up with too much, which could include the ears. Not good. If you want the ears, too, you wanna take those separately. Well, let's say you accidentally get the ears, too.
