Quoted: LGS sold six yesterday all he had in stock.what's so great about a glock 19? Or any glock ? Tupperware View Quote Simple and reliable pistols. The 19 is a nice size for concealment. If those 19s were priced low enough (say $300), I would have bought all six. |

Including the word "Tupperware" with a yucky face in any adult discussion about Glocks is a one way ticket to retardville. It's about as dumb as positing about AR15s "shitting where they eat". And lets not forget the equally retarded comments about Kalashnikovs in a trash can. Sometimes the basement gets boring I guess. |

Hate the G19, too small for my hands. The Glock 17, the original Glock, is however the dog's bollocks. Brilliant kit.

I have G26. It's not my favorite, not the most accurate and it's ugly. It also goes bang every single time, at least for the past 8 years, and I can get all parts and accessories easily. I like my CZ more, but if SHTF, and I can only grab one, it's going to be the Glock. When the chips are down, style is as important to a firearm as it is to a shovel.

I've owned them all, Brownings to Sig's, HKs, CZs, 1911s...the G19 is what I always go back to. The same reason CAG and other discretionary military groups carry them, They're simple, accurate and reliable.

Because glock makes a very reliable gun, sells it for a reasonable price, doesn't ass-rape you for mags, and you can find holsters/accessories for them anywhere. View Quote This!! Get one and carry it/shoot it for a while. I bet you will have some respect for it after a month or so. Won't say you will love it. But most guns have something about them to like. |

What's so great about the Glock 19?
Low bore axis. Great stock trigger with a strong reset. A host of various capacity magazines. The most prolific number of accessories for customization of any other pistol available on the market. In the case of the Glock 19 specifically it's an excellent size for both home defense and concealed carry with the ability to accept a host of lights, lasers, and various combinations. |

Op may not be crazy, none were in stock at any of my major distributors in any generation and the same for 17s unless you wanted to buy ten round version.

The G19 is like the Glock version of the Sig P225, just right, except it holds 16.

When you drop that attitude of yours and give one a try you'll know.

I was lucky enough to get a new Gen 3 Austrian import marked Glock 19 years back. They sure do look cool on it. I'm a 1911 guy but you can not deny the durability of a glock. It is a fine handgun. And the 19 is just an all around perfect size for almost everything.
