Make sure you invest in some good tools for breaking it down and rebuilding it. Personally I'm a big fan of the MIP tools.
Also, killerbody has some very nice replacement bodyshells, I'm a big fan of the Corvette shell they have. |

How much longer before you learn to drive, and can have a real car?

I hope in its stock form, it's tougher than my Stampede. That thing broke its first two minutes out while driving around in the front yard. I've upgraded so many different parts it's fairly bullet proof now, but dang I've got over 1k into the entire package.

I think that Traxxas limits the speeds on those on first start up. You have to load an app into the controller to unlock the high speeds. If I can remember correctly the controller can hook into you phone for the app. Been awhile since I have done r.c. I still have all my crap but it just gathers dust. My HPI pro II would run every bit of 50mph...it hit a curb once and broke the carbon fiber bulkhead. I replaced it with aluminum. Watch what tire you by for it as well...they will wear out and blow out!

Got a few RC my self. They are blast.
Every one knocking run time is out of date. There are packs out of there that will push 1 hour run time and for people rock crawling getting 2 maybe 3 hours. I normally turn my car off befor I drain a set of batteries. |

Why some of you questioning his purchase? You sound like liberals. "Why do you need that..."

Wow. Yeah, I couldn't imagine running that thing flat out anywhere. My RC-10T2 stadium truck was quick, and was nowhere near that fast, and a friend had the buggy version (RC-10B2?) and it was quite a bit faster than my truck.
I need to buy another one some day. |

Nice! Get some extra tires they can go fast....
Makes me miss my Nitro cars |

Traxxas used to make shit plastic cars.
Seems they make some pretty nice stuff now. |

And yeah, it was crap. I think they have come a long way since those early days. I remember the days when it was Tamiya or go home! |

Oh yeah, this is gonna be 'spensive.
I recently went to the track with a brand new SC10. First time on dirt with an RC car since 1988-89 (RC10). In a day's worth of practice I broke. 1. Steering servo 2. Front suspension arm pivot 3. Steering rod 4. Body 5. Rear body mount 6. Drive flange I think that is all. Cost me about $150 in broken parts plus a new set of tires and wheels that are more appropriate for the track. So, $200 for a day of racing a little "toy" car. Thing has been sitting on a shelf in my garage ever since. |
