Nope. No meds at all, in fact. Just the usual heavy dose of caffeine and nicotine.

Hiccups.

"Hickups" would be, like, Wild Bill Hickok having them.

Best way of relieving someone else of hiccups:

If someone says "I have hiccups," I say  "Prove  it." cures 'em every time.

Found your problem. Do you chew nicotine gum? It's know to cause hiccups due to swallowing small amounts of nicotine laced saliva. The nicotine saliva will constrict the blood vessels in your throat causing hiccups. Excessive smoking and drinking fluids (or chewing nicotine gum and drinking) will cause this to happen faster.

Take a shot of vinegar.  A few small sips will do.  Apple Cider Vinegar is preferred, but any will work.  If you have it real bad, you may have to take a shot every couple of hours until bed.

I can give you a cure that takes 60secs....of course its up you being able to do it.
My friends and family think I'm weird, buts very simple

1) Close your eyes

2) Calm yourself

3) Take slow deep breaths

4) Focus your mind on something soothing, like you're sitting in meadow listening to nature

Hiccups gone

Once you get good at it, you can make them go away in less than a minute. Its all mental really. Mind over body.

My kids think its nuts, but every time I get hiccups, I close my eyes focus and breath.....gone

Compazine is the prototype drug for it. Promethazine may work if that is all that is available.

Take either one and it's nighty night time though.

I heard once that shitting your pants and sitting in it for 20 minutes will cure the hiccups.

I've not tried it, so I don't know if it works or not.

Without knowing your past medical history, I would caution you that persistent hiccups are sometimes an early indicator of a heart attack or pulmonary embolism.  Metabolic changes during these events can cause the diaphragm to involuntarily contract.  If you are saying this has indeed been happening all day, without any identifiable cause,  I would strongly consider seeking medical attention, especially if you are at higher cardiac risk (age. weight, smoker, family medical history, etc.).

Chew it up, swallow it down.
