DOJ, being the political cowards that they are, will leave him hanging in the wind for months if not years even though they know they have no evidence of a federal civil rights violation.

Did they ever officially close their investigation on Zimmerman?

Not officially
There was this news report from October 1st

The Justice Department is not expected to bring civil rights charges against George Zimmerman in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, according to three law enforcement officials, despite allegations that the killing was racially motivated.....

On Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the Justice Department said the investigation “is active and ongoing.” An attorney for Martin’s family said his parents have not heard a final decision from U.S. officials.

Why do we kid ourselves when this type of situation explodes on the national scene?

Some people just feel entitled to take what they want and are rewarded instead of being punished.

I say, let them have at it and go full stupid crazy. Then let them deal with it on their own. Not that that's what will happen, as race bait ed s are gonna hate no matter what.

From reading the comments on the post dispatch article our fine upstanding citizen / witness Dorian Johnson is currently in jail for larceny. Obviously the police locked him up in retaliation for telling the truth about KKK member / police officer / super strong man Darren Wilson.

I would like to see everyone just walk away, too.  I think at this point that everyone knows that there will be no charges.  There will now be no shock, or surprise, and continuing to put it off is just letting the pressure build.

I think we are seeing the wheels come off in STL and probably the other large metro areas. They are fanning the flames pretty hard and I think the results are going to be like a story by Matt Bracken.

Okay, a Ferguson police officer just called into a radio show and indicated that Nasheed was going to be charged with an offense related to possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Police officers from various municipalities were present at the time of arrest and observed that she was in a state of intoxication. However, the prosecutor's office has declined to prosecute her. Again, this is according to a Ferguson police officer.

If by some crazy chance the popo's job is to enforce the law, she should be charged with a felony for being drunk and carrying a gun.

But that might bring about further civil disobedience.

When the family's autopsy was initially released, it was explained that the body had been washed after the official autopsy, so the later autopsy would be unlikely to find residue.

But....

Nasheed To Seek 10-Year Minimum Sentence For Gun Crimes

The penalties would apply to all gun crimes, including something as simple as concealing a weapon without the proper permit to do so. Nasheed said she's prepared to take flak from those who consider that too harsh of a punishment.

Some years ago, a black state senator from Memphis was known for driving at 90mph+ on I-40 between Memphis and Nashville.  Highway Patrol couldn't do anything about it, because the guy would just show his ID and claim that they were preventing him from getting to the legislature for a vote.

A group of truck drivers decided to slow him down by forming a rolling road block.  He drove into the grass (still above the speed limit), and fired at least one shot at one of the trucks as he passed it.  Highway Patrol was called on the CB, and they stopped him.  He had a recently fired gun in his car.  If my memory isn't off, this was before Tennessee created the state carry permit.

The judge gave him a slap on the wrist, for shooting at the truck driver.

Fast forward several years, and the FBI caught him in a sting, taking bribes to support legislation (several other democrats, and one republican, were caught in the same sting).  They got him on tape, taking the bribe and joking that if they turned out to be cops, he'd have to kill each and every one of them.

His sister was elected as his replacement in the state legislature, and she now has a history of falling off bar stools in hotel bars in Nashville.  During a meeting of a committee she served on, she launched into an incoherent rant about some subject that had absolutely nothing to do with the committee's business.

Ah yes, I forgot about that.

Not surprised at all.

Biggest issue is this: We all know these jackasses are spouting off without any sort of reason what so ever , most of the public knows it but keeps to themselves and  turns their head. At the same time the entire world watches this situation and when the no bill comes through with actual facts, the entire country looks like these asshats that are causing issues. I hope they go ape shit and get slapped into place when every one finally says they are sick of their shit

Media Leaks And Governor’s Press Conference Set Stage For Darren Wilson Non-Indictment

Throughout the day and evening Tuesday, a number of events seemed to foreshadow the inevitable non-indictment of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed 18-year-old Michael Brown on August 9th. While there had been leaks in recent days providing information from the federal and county investigations into the shooting, Tuesday served up the culmination of what appears to be a deliberate effort by prosecutors, police and government officials to change public opinion towards Wilson and set the stage for him to walk.

The day began innocently enough with the continued humiliation of a state senator who tried to bolster her public profile and credibility with Ferguson activists by staging a publicity stunt and getting herself arrested on purpose. After refusing bond and spending the night in jail, she held a planned press conference at 10 AM local time and gave an unsatisfactory and frankly confused explanation for her intentional arrest. Further embarrassment came her way when it was revealed that she was carrying a loaded weapon at the time of her arrest (she has a conceal carry license) and officers said she smelled of alcohol. She refused a breathalyzer test.

However, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon changed the tone when he held a press conference near Ferguson at 1 PM local time. During an at times impassioned speech, Nixon called for the formation of a Ferguson Commission, which will conduct a study of the aftermath of Brown’s killing and provide recommendations for changes in Ferguson and the surrounding area. He said he would name members of the committee in November and that it will consist of a wide range of individuals from different backgrounds. However, he reiterated his support for St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch and pointed out that the study and committee will not be looking into the death of Brown. That will be left to McCulloch and the grand jury.

With his continuing commitment to McCulloch, whose objectivity has been questioned due to his extremely close relationship with law enforcement, and his refusal to name a special prosecutor, Nixon’s words fell on mostly deaf ears. Protesters and activists don’t want to hear of a task force, commission, study or anything else you want to call it. They want a transparent investigation into a shooting that seems both suspect and excessive. In the end, they just get a press conference from a governor who they feel has both abandoned and taken them for granted. And it seems that Nixon’s intent was just to get something set in place for the inevitable unrest that will soon occur in Ferguson.

Blow by blow, Ferguson cop's FULL version of why he shot Michael Brown: 'Incredibly strong' teen pressed gun to cop's hip, the gun was jammed by a finger - and kill shot was fired as Brown 'charged'

In the account, Wilson told how he was driving down Canfield Drive after dealing with a call about a sick baby when he spotted Brown and his friend Dorian Johnson walking down the middle of the road.

He said he told them to get onto the sidewalk, and was met with abuse from the pair.

The statement said Wilson then noticed that they were carrying cigarillos, and that Johnson looked like a man described in recent radio alerts as a suspect in a convenience store theft in which 'blunts' were taken.

The police officer then said he parked his Chevrolet SUV, and called for assistance. But, he claims, as he tried to get out he was met with a punch in the face from Brown, who allegedly struck through the car's open window.

Wilson said he had no choice but to draw his pistol when faced with the 'incredibly strong' teen. Brown was 6-foot-4 and nearly 300lb at the time of his death.

Wilson said he couldn't use his pepper spray in the close quarters because it would have hit him too. His baton was out of reach at the back of his belt.

In the statement Wilson told how Brown grabbed at the pistol and continued to hit him in the face.

The officer, who said he almost passed out in the attack, then told how he felt Brown, whose strength he found remarkable, twisting the barrel towards his own body.

At one point, the muzzle of the gun was pointed at Wilson's own hip.

Wilson went on to describe how he jerked back inside the car, loosening Brown's grip on the gun enough for him to squeeze the trigger.

But, he said, the first time nothing happened - because Brown had his finger in the gun's hammer, which stopped it from firing.

Separate accounts of the events which have been made public have also claimed there was a scuffle of some sort inside the police car - citing blood and skin samples picked up in investigations.

When Wilson pulled the trigger again, the pistol went off, hitting Brown's hand and sending glass cascading around the car.

Evidence presented by the Post-Dispatch from the autopsy report also seems to support a close-range impact. The document told how the entry wound in Brown's hand had no 'stippling' - a feature of mid-range impacts - suggesting a point-blank release.

In his account, Wilson then described firing a second shot - which missed. Brown then ran away.

Wilson said he was left unable to radio for backup because his transponder had been knocked away from the right setting in the chaos.

So, on his own, Wilson said he got out of the car and gave chase. It was at that point when Brown turned.

Wilson said Brown then 'charged' at him and wouldn't stop when he yelled. He started firing, and hit four times. One shot, Wilson said, hit Brown's forehead and brought him down.

He also denied - as many witnesses have claimed - that Brown had his hands up in a gesture of surrender.

The newspaper had St. Louis medical examiner Dr. Michael Graham, who is not part of the official investigation, review the autopsy report, and he determined that it “does support that there was a significant altercation at the car” including a shot that hit Brown’s right hand. Dr. Judy Melinek, a forensic pathologist in San Francisco who also reviewed the documents, concurred that the autopsy “supports the fact that this guy is reaching for the gun" and that it did not support claims Brown was shot while running away from Wilson, or with his hands up.

The toxicology test. also obtained by the newspaper and performed by a St. Louis University laboratory, revealed marijuana in Brown’s blood and urine.

The shots fired outside of the vehicle hit Brown in the forehead, upper right arm and twice in the chest, Melinek said. The fatal shot to the top of Brown’s head indicates he was falling forward or in a lunging position toward the shooter, she said. The fact that a sixth shot hit his forearm and traveled from the back of the arm to the inner arm shows Brown’s palms could not have been facing Wilson, as some witnesses have said, Melinek said.

Just like we all knew, it was a good shoot.

If by some crazy chance the popo's job is to enforce the law, she should be charged with a felony for being drunk and carrying a gun.

But that might bring about further civil disobedience.

So the racist-terrorist Senator is basically holding the PD hostage over the threat of further terrorism? The PD and DA are afraid to prosecute her because she might make good on her threats and incite more terrorism?

Al Sharpton has stated that he can find a medical examiner to return any information that is needed.  Or overlook any other kind of information.  They will keep ME-shopping until they get what they want.   Truth, facts do not matter.   Truth and Fact do not keep his donations rolling in.

Al Sharpton found plenty of criminals to rat on when he was squealing for Da Man years ago. I guess its just par for the course in his book.

Did Tawana Brawley ever apologize? Lets hope she shows her yap as well and gets added to the black-on-black schnizzle they got going on.

Who is selectively leaking information to help Officer Darren Wilson

In this article they attempt to counter all the latest info about the autopsy and GJ leak testimony

We are witnessing a massive coordinated effort by unnamed officials to unlawfully influence public opinion and the members of a grand jury regarding the Michael Brown shooting by selectively leaking and spinning information in the police investigation file. The purpose of this massive propaganda effort is to discredit eyewitness accounts of the shooting, persuade the public that Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed Michael Brown in self-defense and condition the public to accept a decision by the grand jury next month to not charge the officer with a crime.

Ah yes, I forgot about that.

I was blinded by the private autopsy's report that kept stating they didn't find gun residue as if it was a big issue.

When the family's autopsy was initially released, it was explained that the body had been washed after the official autopsy, so the later autopsy would be unlikely to find residue.

Ah yes, I forgot about that.

Heheh...

“I am a forensic pathologist assistant and medical investigator,” Parcells told FOX 4’s Shannon O’Brien.

However, that’s something of a dubious title according to forensic pathologist Dr. Erik Mitchell.

“That is a degree that does not exist in my knowledge, except in the mind of Shawn Parcells,” Dr. Mitchell said.

Dr. Mitchell takes issue with Parcells’ title.

“You cannot claim the title, because it is a formal, licensable position. You can assist somebody; in this way I can say, for instance, I have paid my taxes, so I am an assistant President of the United States,” Dr. Mitchell said.

Parcells admits he has no certification as a pathology assistant, but says his qualification comes from experience.

Dr. Mitchell's quote up there is amazingly good.

the shenanigans w/ the "pathologist assistant" & "medical investigator", this assumption of titles w/ out credentialing/education of any meaning, is the purview of banana republic-style justice & governance.  it reminds one of this:

New evidence supports officer’s account of shooting in Ferguson

Because Wilson is white and Brown was black, the case has ignited intense debate over how police interact with African American men. But more than a half-dozen unnamed black witnesses have provided testimony to a St. Louis County grand jury that largely supports Wilson’s account of events of Aug. 9, according to several people familiar with the investigation who spoke with The Washington Post.

Some of the physical evidence — including blood spatter analysis, shell casings and ballistics tests — also supports Wilson’s account of the shooting, the Post sources said, which cast Brown as an aggressor who threatened the officer’s life. The sources spoke on condition of anonymity because they are prohibited from publicly discussing the case.
