“Just practicing my rights, that's all I'm doing,” said Studdard in a cell phone recording he taped of an exchange with police.
Get a load of this guy. “This is completely legal. Guns don't have to have a negative or evil connotation that is being put upon them,” Studdard explained. View Quote http://www.wjbf.com/story/26693764/man-marches-around-evans-armed |

They are called cops, happens all over especially the donut shop

There are millions of people WALKING around every town in the US armed including me.
Do I care ? No. Not at all. Now marching is another story. |
|
|
If I saw one, the cheeks would probably clench for a second. Once I established that he wasn't a threat, just a jackalope, I'd get on with my day.
|

I have no problem with open carry but if your just carrying around guns to be an asshole/attention whore I hope you get your shit pushed in.
|
|
|
I don't care. Just don't point it at me and we'll be fine.
I don't really want to draw a bunch of attention to my self or get shot by an excited cop so I don't advocate such things. |

Mah rights!
Just because it's legal doesn't make it a good idea. May be legal to walk around in a grocery store with an ax also, but...... |

Sent the wife to Home Depot to get a new lawn mower blade. I gave her the old one and just told her to ask the clerk to match it. Seems they intercepted her at the door, politely took it away and questioned her. She was impressed that the manager and three other guys helped her find the thing and even walked her to her car. |

Depends. Is he walking around while armed or is he finger fucking his firearm at low ready while walking around town? The second one deserves the Darwin award they are trying for.

Arfcom would wet it's pants if the guy had a rifle but have no problem if he was carrying a handgun, because rifles are icky while handguns are not.
|
|
I would. Simply because there are so many idiots in this world.

Those residents called the police on 21-year-old Robert Studdard for displaying a very large gun. View Quote Oh, it was a VERY large gun, that is different! |

Not that it matters much, but he was toting a shotgun, not a rifle.
The only problem the cops had with him was he had no license (CCP?) for his handgun. Is he an attention whore? Who knows? |

Stratford is very close to me. And I know several families that live there.
No one has expressed " shock " that I know of. If this was thought of as a serious problem , I would have heard about it pronto. But you just have to believe he wanted attention of some sort. gd |
|
In general, no.
But I do live in the fucking ghetto, in a state where open carry is illegal and concealed carry is absolute minimal. So that kind of changes things for the most part |

Insane. All these people so worried about guns and knives and shit. Just live your life and leave people alone. |

On sunday I went with a friend to a taco cart by her apartment. Next to the line was a black dude with dreadlocks wearing a wife beater and track pants with what looked like a .380 Bersa in a OWB holster. We got our taco's and no one really gave a fuck. Mentioned it to my friend a little bit later and she said she didn't even notice the gun.
While I'm not a fan of open carrying myself, I don't feel threatened if someone does it. People who would do you harm don't non nonchalantly walk around with their guns visible, they keep that shit hidden till they are ready to start shooting. |

I go everywhere in my town armed.
I assume at least a sizeable portion of everyone I meet on a daily basis is armed, too. So no, I don't really see the big deal. |
|
Anyone afraid of open carry does not like guns and will willingly take it in the ass when the tyrants tell you to disarm.

It's all fun and games until open carry gets banned. View Quote Might as well just ban it the way a lot of people on ARFcom talk about it. I thought the idea was to get people used to the idea by seeing it. That way they wouldn't freak out when they do see it. I didn't figure it would be an overnight transition. |
